Aphogee 2 min reconstructor

Last night I used the 2 minute reconstructor and I must admit, my hair felt nice and soft. I haven't been taking care of my hair like I use to because of things happening in my life causing me to be busier than normal. I am now back a little more focused.

My question is can I use it daily or every other day because I have been experiencing shedding and breakage. The packet said once a week. But I have some damage and I want it fixed. So, what do you all say.

I love the 2 minute reconstructor. I used it last night too :)

My curls are popping and bouncing all over the place :drunk:

EDIT: I use it every 10-15 days.

I would not use it more than once a week. I think it would be doing way too much.

Stick with once a week like the package says. If you do it too often you could end up with protein overload and more breakage.

By the way, using protein on the length of your hair is not going to stop your hair from shedding.

I personally use this 3x a week. I DC with it and either Yes To Carrots or GVP Conditioning Balm. It has helped me tremendously. That is a proteiin/moisture combo that my hair. :love4: The main thing is listen to your hair. :yep:

I wouldn't use it straight more than once a week.

If you mix it in equal parts with a moisturizing condish you may find it beneficial but that really depends on how your hair reacts to protein.

For the shedding you need something scalp focused though. Vatika oil helps with this, and that's really just enriched coconut oil. So maybe massaging your scalp with some coconut oil even mixed with a little castor oil would help. For me, scalp buildup is what causes shedding. If that's the case with you, you may want to try a diluted shampoo made for that, or some tea tree oil to help break it down. HTH

I use it every time I shampoo or co-wash (basically every time I restyle my curls) so I use it about 3 times a week. I haven't had any ill effects.

Being that I have fine hair, I don't want to do more damage than good. I will keep that in mind. Thanks.

I have fine hair as well - I wash my hair practically every other day as my fine hair needs more strength than moisture (but I always use both protein and moisturizing condishes on the days I wash) I only use it once a week because it is in rotation with other protein condishes such as AO GPB, TIGI Dumb Blonde, etc.....

You should be okay using more than once a week along you follow up with a moisturizing condish ...

I have fine strands too. I keep a balance no matter what. If you happen to read the thread: "Regimens Only", mine is in there. No matter whether it is DCing or leave ins, I ALWAYS use a protein/moisture balance. I mix them. One less step :yep:

I know sometimes when a product work really well on our hair, we have this tendency to over use it. What we need to remember is that it works best when we use as recommended and not overdo it. If we do overdo it, then we'll find that it will begin to work in the reverse of what we are expecting from it, ie causing more breakage and damage. Once a week is the recommended usage, so in order to get those phenominal results again, you'd definitely want to stick with that.

ITA with the other ladies. I use the 2 min as well, but don't let the softness fool ya lol. Stick to once a week.
