Anyone doing anything interesting with their hair this summer? Any unique or special regimes (or challenges)? Just curious. I just ordered a lacefront wig and my plan is to braid my hair up for the entire summer. I will take it down every 2 weeks so that i can wash it. Im excited because i have a corporate job and i NEVER get to wear my hair cornrowed and just leave it alone!(except for washing of course). Anyone else?

I've been eyeing these lacefronts on ebay and I am really interested in getting one. I think that I might get one next month, but I am a fanatic about cleansing my hair, I would wash every couple of days. Does your hair have to 'braided up super neat?' I am also on the Ultra Thick Hair Shake Challenge this summer. My hair will be fully natural for the summer so I will be enjoying that--the transition is ova!:D

I'm going to vegas in june, has anyone been there and how did your hair hold up in that hot weather? For the rest of the summer, I plan on co-washing 3x per week, will probably stretch my relaxer for 3 months, since it's hot i'll wash my hair frequently, that will get me tremendous growth I hope.

Hey Suri! (pretty name). Thats a great question! I actually am having someone in atlanta do the entire lacefront for me. I went to her shop, she measured me, and the whole deal. The thing that i didnt know was this: Once the glue the lacefront is on, people normally leave it on FOR AWHILE...like weeks  The reason is because apparently they are so hard to put back on correctly. She has clients that come every 3 weeks to 1 month to get a wash/set/wig put-back-on. If you learn to do it yourself you can do it more often but i heard you need help to do it. I was thinking you can take them off and on as you please. I dont think hair needs to be braided up 'super neat'. Just enough so that it doesnt bunch at the nape. She recommended an 'S' pattern.

I forgot to add, the reason i am trying a lacefront is because i am going to become her sales rep for lacefront wigs and remy hair here in atlanta (primarily for salons). I wanted to try the product before i first before i begin to do her marketing to my salon connects here in atl. Ill let you know how it goes when i get it in.

I think June-Aug I am going to rotate between wearing small cornroll extentions and larger ones. That'll give my hair a break and help me retain whatever length I get this summer.

I'd like to rock waist length box braids andd mtg for most of the summer.... but I know me. lol I'll have to see how long they last.

None here. I am going to try to go until July without using heat. And for that I plan to check my progress only.

But I want to start cowashing every 2 days and shampooing on Sundays. I hope to gain and inch per month and be a BSL by December 27th.

I was being lazy one night and decided to let my hair air dry... turns out that my hair is noticably curly/wavy because of the length. So I've decided to do wash and goes, and co wash 2-3 times a week. I have also stopped oiling my scalp. And I haven't had any problems with it since I co wash my hair, but it has only been a week and a half. --Oh, and I am also doing the Ultra Hair Thick Shake Challenge.
