Anyone using SLS shampoos?

I am...all of my shampoos have sulfates in them, I have no prob with them, my shampoos are mositurizing and with the conditioner afterwards I have no probs.

Thanks! Funny how ever since I've come here I've learned a lot of valuable lessons about hair care. However, I've also become overly cautious about certain ingredients. The funny thing is that these ingredients aren't hurting my hair one bit. My hair seems to be fine with cones, mineral oil, and SLS.

I use Elucence products and their moisture benefits shampoo has soduim myreth sulfate (COCONUT OIL DERIVED) which is supposed to be less harsh than the sls shampoos. But I dilute it anyway so it probably doesnt matter anyway. I rave so much about that darn Elucence that I think the company should compensate me with a check!!

same here riot, when all the hoopla started i got worried, but then I thought, nufin bad is happening from ME using this...everyone is different. My hair is ok with all the "bad" stuff too.

I am too. But I am thinking about stopping. Nothing bad happening, just for the sake of preventative measures.

I am.
I was being very cautious about what I put on my hair for quite a while...and it took some time to discover what my hair really responded to. I still try to avoid certain ingredients, but honestly, my hair seems to thrive on alot of the "bad" stuff!

I do. I use Sodium Laureth Sulfate (SLeS)...I do not however, use products with Sodium Lauryl Sulfate (SLS).

Sodium Laureth Sulfate has a different chemical makeup and is MUCH more gentle cleansing agent.

I use a sulfate shampoo. I'm done with the no sulfate stuff. I didn't notice much of a difference anyway.

Just a note: SLS isn't necessarily bad for your hair but it could bad FOR YOU. Some scientists consider it to be concenogenic when mixed with other chemicals. I personally don't have 100% issuees with it cos it's in waaaaaay too much stuff for me to elimate them all, but I know people who have cancer in their family have been told by specialist oncologists to avoid it.
