I just bought one, so Im a newbie. It seems like it would promote easy growth. Your hair underneath is braided and theres no manipulation. I was thinking each week I could take it off, wash and condition my real hair and put it back on. Any naturals into lace fronts or weaves have any tips?

i did it to help me get from shoulder length to APL. I got great growth retention and was very happy with my results.

its important to have more than one lacefront though so that you don't have to rely on one if you are in a pinch. having more than one also increases the lifespan of the unit.

I am, It grew my hair from about 4 inches in April to just about collar bone in January. I took mine off and co washed every day though. I Bc'd in January so Im back to square one but I loved it, especially as I could baggy underneath :)

wow, this is encouraging! what was your regimen and how did you take care of your edges?

i took the unit down once a week or more if the unit started to slip. i wore a flesh colored wig cap that i made sure covered my edges. i put glue in front of my edges, never on them. i used a spray made of alcohol and oil to release the lace front to ensure that my hair did not come out when i took the unit off. i wrapped my hair under the lacefront and used a moisturizer like mizani intense h2o to keep my hair from getting too dry and i used mtg to assist with growth.
