Can I see??
Where did you have it done?
and how was the process if some places where straigther than others?

Hope someone answers theese questions..

TIA

I did.
It was straight all over.
I hated it.
My stylist did it.
He did my texturizer too.
I hated the texturizer as well.
I have not posted them in my Fotki, I've been l.a.z.y.

Why did you hate the texturizer and the relaxer?

I am texlaxed, I went to the salon last week and he blowed and flat ironed my hair bone straight. I must say I hated it. My hair was limp and lifeless. Don't ge me wrong the style was beautiful, but I felt like my hair was damaged. I washed and conditioned my hair ASAP. While this not the same as relaxing bone straight, it did get me over the idea of doing so. :nono:

Why did you hate the texturizer and the relaxer?
Well it was not because of my stylist (he's a god :luv2::love5:)
I hated it b/c the texturizer was supposed to loosen my curl pattern but it was frizzier and even more unruly than natural. A wash and go was out of the question. My hair did not turn out like some of the texlaxed ladies on this forum. I summed it up to my natural texture is just not one that will yield those results.

The relaxer after or on top of a texturizer was the final nail in the coffin. My hair was super straight, no life, no body, thin, would not hold a curl.

It was my idea to do both b/c I told my stylist that I was tired of my natural hair - I felt that it was too much work. He told me the pros and cons and I did it. Just like w/ everything in my hair life, I knew that if it did not work out, it would grow back. At the time I had every intention of stying relaxed but when I looked at my hair, I missed my natural waves and curls. I missed the fullness and if I did want a straight or curly style, all I needed was a flat iron & nothing else.

I would not recommend it but everyone has to make the decision that they feel is best for them.

^^^^Thanks for the reply. I'm sorry neither worked out for you but at least now you know. Sometimes I think we just have to try and see for ourselves.
