My mix right now, which I just made yesterday, is shea butter, olive oil, and coconut oil with essential oils and some indian powders.I just returned to using butters after not using them for almost two years. I used to be the shea butter queen, so what was I thinking to let go of my precious butters? My mix right now, which I just made yesterday, is shea butter, olive oil, and coconut oil with essential oils and some indian powders.
I mixed the Indian powders with the coconut oil to make oils first, then added these oils to the shea butter and olive oil. This is the first time I have added Indian powders to a mix, so I will have to wait in order to comment on their effect. I do not, however, believe the powders will make the batch go bad faster; in fact, I have never had an homemade butter go bad on me, even though I usually make 20 to 30 ounce batches. Maybe the reason is that I add a lot of essential oils.I used to use butters all the time and I never had dryness or ssks I'm out now I may have to buy some for winter.
Does mixing the Indian powders help? Does it go bad faster w the powders in it? Tia
I like Camden Grey butters. My favorites are olive, sunflower, and almond. Avocado for my hair, but I love it on my skin.
