I still do. I love the stuff. I mix it into any deep conditioner. My ol' school mix is Africa's Best Hair Mayo treatment mixed with Blackstrap Molasses, shea butter, avocado oil and jojoba oil.
bump!! because i just bought wildflower honey and blackstrap and i wanna know what i can do with them... i dont shampoo often i do bakingsoda to clarify
My hair is very fine and loves protein. I tried organic blackstrap molasses a few times recently directly on clean damp hair for 15 minutes - no heat. There wasn't a single hair in my comb as I detangled (25 weeks post relaxer). It behaves like a protein on your hair so you definately need a good moisturizing condtioner afterwards. This will stay in my rotation.
Also, I'm not sure if I imagined it but my new growth seemed looser. I will have to try this a couple more times to be sure it was not something else I used.
Over time though it did make my hair feel slighltly coated.
