I wasnt feeling it but Im so clumsy I knocked the bottle over and spilled most of it on the floor. This was before I straightend my hair and I have no shame that I was scooping product off the floor to use in my hair. I aint wasting a $16 bottle!

Anyway my hair poofed up not too long after flat ironing it.

I like to mix mine with Aveda Style Prep Smoother for a little kick...it works really well.

I first tried Sabino over a year ago, when Lala mentioned that she used it. I still had a relaxer then and I tried it on wet hair, dry hair, damp hair - I hated it every time. I just couldn't get soft, flowing hair; it would end up greasy every time.

I tried Sabino again as a natural and I'm in love with it now. My hair stays straight until I wash it and it is soft and silky. I just ordered three more bottles Friday afternoon and they were waiting for me when I got home from work on Monday.

You may have to play around with the amount you apply to your hair until you get it right, but it's worth it.

I just saw a YouTube where a lady (I think it was one of y'all!) used SMB and said to hit up the website for a free sample. I went to the Sabino website, but no free sample was listed anywhere on there, and the 3 oz bottle was $21!!! :spinning: It might be the bomb, but I'll never know at that price! I can imagine DH's reaction if I spent money like that on a product... :freakout:

Here's the sample link from the other thread.

I never got my sample. :look:

I even got an email saying they would send it out.

But, no sample.

I ended up just buying a bottle.

I'm not ashamed to say that this was one of my "secret" purchases ( I had sent to my aunt's house :lachen:) , b/c I would've gotten the same reaction LOL.

Singing *baby turn around and let me see that thread go BUMP, BUMP, BUMP!"

Anyhoo, can somebody post the link for the samples?

Just look in the other thread. THere's a link that's not on the site. Also you can just email them for a sample. Go to their site, and click the contact us button and email them...or call them. Samples are still on. I'm constantly getting stopped and asked what I do to my hair, and then of course I tell them there's samples...later I'm thanked saying they arrived. So I know they still have them.

I wasn't feeling it at all...I got my sample and it didn't do anything for me that my chi silk infusions or fantasia serum didn't do...

well, the sample was like totally awesome, then i purchased the product and now i'm like, "What? And I bought this, why?" It doesn't seem the same at all....maybe i'm just trippin' :spinning: but i don't know...has anyone else experienced this? I could NOT wait for this thing to come and now that it's here, i'm just not so impressed....

I just received the sample in the mail. I am getting my hair flat ironed on Thursday. I wonder if I can get the lady at the shop to use it on my hair. How would I go about doing that?

I agree. I really don't like Sabino. My hair felt dry and hard for the two times that I tried it.

Went back to my Fantasia and my hair responded totally different, and more like what I am used to. What a waste of money for me. I am selling mine on ebay or something.

What I wanted it for was the claim that it blacks moisture. It is not as bad not that it is cooler out, but in the summer time, I have a problem with my head sweating a bit when I am just rushing to get ready to go out or something. By the time I get to my hair after getting dressed, it is all frizzy and I have to spend more time on it than I have. I thought this would help me with that. I just don’t think it works for me and now that I have learned that it take 450 degree of heat to be effective at that, I am just going to cut my loss on it.

See - hearing mixed reviews makes me nervous. I was JUST about to go get some from Trade Secret but now I'm not so sure. I'm going to FL next week for a wedding and I want to wear my hair straight, but I don't want it to not flow nicely because it's weighed down by this product. I have tried frizz ease and that stuff that came with my Maxiglide, but I didn't like them too much. Now I'm wondering about this SMB.....

Sabino is just like Keracare’s serum which was also a lot for me. You may want to try the Fantasia IC Straightening liquid (in the spray bottle and not the serum). I prefer the serum, but I don’t mind a little bit more weight to my hair. I have heard that even that one can even be too much for some and it is actually less viscous than the Sabino.

I don’t want to sway you from trying the Sabino - it may be great for you. For me, it was just was not effective in making straightening easy at my normal temperature and my hair was not as soft and silky afterwards.

Personally I think Moisture Block’s success is a perfect example of how advertising and product claims make a product blow up. The ingredients are not that spectactular - Dimethicone and Cyclomethicone. I know that both of those ‘cones come in many different variations of thickness and can mixed in many different ways, but still. Nothing major or extraordinary.

Good luck finding the perfect product!

Thanks Honeydew! I just ordered the sample for SMB so I'm gonna try and use that first to see if I like it. I hope it comes fast!
