If so how do you make it? what is the shelf life?

Also does anyone know where to get some for cheap online? the lowest I found was 7.50usd for a 1lb jar....

I don't, but according to blurtit.com:

Oils and fats float on water. So if you mash ripe ones or squeeze them in a press, then put them in a muslin cloth squeeze out all the liquid and let it drip in to a vessel , oil floats, so with a little warmth it should rise to the top and then it can be skimmed . It could be gently boiled until the water has been evaporated.

i mixed my avacado with yogurt and shea butter... lotsa moisture, lotsa mess... it worked like a charm though... if you add in a good amount of water and blend it all then put it in the fridge it will give u a nice cream...
i used all mine up in 1 week so i dont know...
and mine was a DC

The Herbarie’s VegeThix™ can be used to increase viscosity in liquid oils and is the perfect vegan ingredient for thickening oil soluble products! VegeThis is ideal for butters, balms, salves, scrubs, creams, and other products. VegeThix is a white lipophilic powder at 25C / 77F and is easy to use. For example, 12% VegeThix and 88% Jojoba Oil make a lovely Jojoba Butter! Simply melt VegeThix with Jojoba Oil and allow to cool. By varying the percentages, the desired consistency can be obtained.
