I've been trying to find QP Mango Butter for the past 2 weeks and CAN'T /images/graemlins/crazy.gif I know the beauty supply store people are probably alerting each other that there is a woman that walks in and takes a look at the shelves and walks out!! I'm getting tired! /images/graemlins/frown.gif Can anyone help me locate some mango butter pleeeeease...
 
I guess it depends on where you live... I live in Stone Mountain/Lithonia area too and I got mine from Cherry's Beauty Supply. What part of Atlanta are you in?

I really like the Mango Butter... I switch it up with the Profectiv Healthy Ends and coconut oil whenever I need to moisturize /images/graemlins/smile.gif

Since we're on the subject of Atlanta... I thought I wouldn't find anybody on this board from Atlanta!! Where do you ladies get your hair done? I go to Jakki Colours in Buckhead... I like it but it's kind of far /images/graemlins/frown.gif Let me know!!

My salon is in Stone Mountain! My stylist is definitely into taking care of hair. She's not a scissor happy one, she actually like to grow hair long. Most of her clients have long hair. Her specialty is damaged hair. She says she likes the challenge. The salon is called Eahsatal (pronounced E-say-tal). The stylist is Debra. She can't style worth anything so if you're looking for the cutest styles... she's not the one. I chose hair care. Can't style hair if you don't have any right? /images/graemlins/laugh.gif If you ever call her tell her Venice referred you.

What is your hair story?

Anyway, I've been on this site now for about a month and a half. About 4 months ago I cut my hair to chin length because of serious chemical breakage (my old stylist was a nightmare). So I'm back on the healthy hair track with about 8.5 inches of healthy hair. I think this sight is a godsend! /images/graemlins/grin.gif

About my current stylist... He's good I suppose /images/graemlins/ohwell.gif and is very much into healthy haircare. But I think he talks too much and recently his rollersets started coming out frizzy. /images/graemlins/nono.gif Frizzy rollersets... in a salon??? /images/graemlins/mad.gif
Anyway, I will probably give him another chance and see if he straightens up... if not, I may be bumping into you soon at your salon. /images/graemlins/smile.gif
 
Hey Kingstonkaramel... I found the QP Mango Butter at Walmart for $3.63!!! After I left Walmart I passed another beauty supply store and stopped in. Guess what... they had it too but for $5.69!!!!!!!!!!! I was skipping out of the store knowing that I got a bargain at Walmart. It smells sooo good. I keep moving my head around trying to catch a wiff of my hair. /images/graemlins/grin.gif

Maybe your stylist changed his products for your roller set. I'm going to try rollersets next because my ends keep coming out frizzy when I air dry. /images/graemlins/frown.gif
 
I was in the Walmart on the East-West Connector and they carry alot of Elasta QP products, including the Mango Butter. I get my hair done at Too Groovy Hair Salon right off Ponce. My hair stylist is Robin and she is awesome. She knows alot about the science of hair care and my hair has NEVER been so healthy. She also styles and cuts very well.
 
Thank you NY2ATL and KEMA for the info... I will DEFINITELY be going to Walmart next time I run out of Mango Butter. I hope my stylist will straighten up... if not, you ladies just gave me 2 options that sound promising! /images/graemlins/smile.gif
 
Hey Ladies just wanted to say hi /images/graemlins/wave.gif. I'm a recent transplant to the ATL area. (My apartment is in Smyrna but my furniture is STILL in transit /images/graemlins/mad.gif) I'm back and forth right now though till I can get my job situation together. *sigh*

I'd like to give one of these salons a try - I need a good stylist who can give touch ups without overlapping. that seems to be me major challenge. My hair is too fine for that! Hey ny2atl!! Yeah I'm a newbie to ATL. In fact I'm still back and forth right now. (Why can't my job just lay me off and give me 3 months severance? /images/graemlins/ohwell.gif) And the marriage thing is exciting but I haven't even had time to really think about it with all the job hunting and moving plans.

My hair goal is going pretty well. I think I will hit my goal by September but dang if it doesn't seem like I'm at a standstill right now. *sigh*

I have some mango butter in my hair right now and LOOOOVE the smell of it. I also did a conditioner wash last night with Herbal Essences Hydrating conditioner. It smells lovely too. Hey... I just smell too good today! Dag!! /images/graemlins/tongue.gif By the way, I'm in week 5 after my touch up and usually by now my hair is acting a mess, especially after it's been washed but it sure did cooperate last night! I'm so happy! /images/graemlins/laugh.gif

I can't believe it! I was planning on going home next month but I think I'm going to wait until the summer. I miss home. BUT... the last time I was there which was in August, I was thinking how crowded and crazy NY was. Go figure... been there all my life, left for an hour and then tried to get all new! /images/graemlins/laugh.gif
 
Ya know honestly I haven't really wanted to live back in NY ever since I went away to school (VA). Quality of life is just so different in the south. I only came back for monetary reasons and got all caught up in my job and blah blah blah. I can't tell you how GLAD I am to be moving south again. I love NY but I would NEVER raise my kids where I was raised. *shrug*

I know what you mean about your flight. Dag more snow huh? I heard it snowed another couple of inches just last week. I remember it was like that the winter before last. Ennyaa... it's funny that I was where you are. I was in NY and my fiance was in ATL. I used to be best friends with those 747s and 757s because I was always on them! /images/graemlins/laugh.gif He used to tell me that he was outside in a t-shirt in February and I wouldn't believe him. He would rub it in and say he was grilling in March and I couldn't believe him because I was buried under SNOW in NY while he was chillin'!! /images/graemlins/ohwell.gif Nooooooow.... I'm down and am grilling in March too! /images/graemlins/grin.gif
