I bought this a few weeks ago and haven't used it yet or seen it mentioned on the board.

If you've tried it, tell me what you think. If you want to find out more: http://www.easystraight.com

If you are talking about the relaxer, I hate to be the bearer of bad news....but I have heard bad things about that system. I think it's similar to the thio relaxer (Japanese hair straightener).

I used a thii relaxer for about a year, and wound up having most of my hair break off. It's really not made for 3c/ 4a etc. hair. My hair was so dry, and snapping off at the ends...I always looked like I just got out of the trim chair, because I wound be running around with little pieces of hair all over my shoulders and back (and desk...and car...).

I would Google it to see if there are other problems, too.

If it's a flat iron you are talking about, then I don't know. (I didn't see a flat iron in the links.)

hgh!

Thanks, aileenadq.

I got the name wrong; it's this product:

Here are the FAQs:
Flat-Iron Finishâ„¢
FAQ's
1. What is Flat-Iron Finishâ„¢?
Flat-Iron Finish Super Straight Styler is an acrylic based styling product that creates super-straight, sleek, flat-iron looks, with only a blow-dryer. This product was developed by EasyStraight creator Haime Munoz to provide an alternative to women who straighten their hair with a damaging flat-iron.

2. Will Flat-Iron Finish weigh my hair down or make it greasy?
No. Flat-Iron Finish is formulated with hi-tech styling polymers and acrylics - not silicone - that won't weigh hair down, build up or leave hair greasy. For best results, always comb Flat-Iron Finish throughout hair to distribute it, and to make sure you dry hair completely.

3. Does Flat-Iron Finish get rid of frizz?
Yes. Flat-Iron Finish coats each individual hair strand to seal in straight results and seal out frizz. Flat-Iron Finish keeps hair frizz-free until your next shampoo.

4. Can I use Flat-Iron Finish on dry hair?
Yes. Flat-Iron Finish is great for giving hair separation and texture. Put a small amount into the roots of the hair or in layers to provide a "messy" separated look.

5. How much Flat-Iron Finish should I use in my hair?
It's important to use A LOT of Flat-Iron Finish. You will use more of this than a typical styling product, because you need to make sure that you get it all throughout your hair. It is also very important to apply product to the roots of the hair. Start application according to directions, and find out the proper amount for your hair.

6. Can I use Flat-Iron Finish on my hair and not dry it?
Yes, you can apply Flat-Iron Finish to your hair and comb it straight. After hair has dried, take a large comb and comb it out for a natural look. If you don't comb or brush your hair out, you will have a shiny, crispy hold.

7. Can I use Flat-Iron Finish as a gel?
Absolutely! Apply Flat-Iron Finish throughout hair like a styling gel and style as usual. Flat-Iron Finish can also be used to get extra volume. Use on wet hair and apply to the roots. Then blow-dry hair to get volume.

8. I used Flat-Iron Finish and it didn't get my hair straight.
The keys to Flat-Iron Finish are using enough product and applying enough pressure on the hair when blow-drying straight. You won't get the desired results if you don't use enough product, or blow-dry hair according to instructions. If you didn't get your hair as straight as you want it, apply more Flat-Iron Finish the next time you use it. You want to use so much that your hair is saturated and can see it when you comb it through. When blow-drying, apply pressure to the ends of your hair to pull it straight.

9. I am African-American. Will Flat-Iron Finish work for me?
Your results will vary depending on the texture of your hair. At the very least, Flat-Iron Finish will reduce a degree of curl.

10. Can I use flat-iron with this product?
You should not use a flat-iron with Flat-Iron Finish, as you can create the "flat-iron" look with just a blow-dryer. However, if you feel you must use your flat-iron, simply make sure that your hair is completely dry. You should never apply Flat-Iron Finish and then flat-iron damp hair.

11. Can I use Flat-Iron Finish on permed hair or on hair relaxed with Japanese straightening or a lye relaxer?
Yes, you can use Flat-Iron Finish on any hair type.

This sounds interesting, but it says it's "acrylic based'.

Is that good for the hair?

Are you usng this now? If so, where did you order it from?

Keep up posted on how it goes.

I need something to help with flat-ironing.

Bumping

I used this product today. It definitely didn't get my hair flat iron straight (I'm natural, 4a). But it straighten it better than just blow drying alone. So, it would probably work better with type 3 hair types, or a blow dryer that gets super hott!!!
