My hair was swanging and blowing when I got it relaxed not it's dull, no shine and thin filling not to mention the Postpartum shedding. WHat do you do in btwn stretches to keep your hair looking nice?

I know what you mean. I love my hair when it's freshly relaxed and flat-ironed, blingy and swingy! The rest of the time, meh . . .

Lately, I've been doing a lot of air-drying. When I do it right, this method preserves my hair's shine and silky feel by cutting down on wear-and-tear and locking in moisture. Heck, sometimes I even have a little swang!

I shampoo with Nexxus Aloe Rid (clarifying but not stripping), condition with HH Hello Hydration, work a little NTM into my hair while it's damp, part my hair on the side -- which is how I normally wear it -- put my hair in two ponytails, twist the ponytails around themselves and clip them up, and tie my hair down with a scarf. I usually do this around bedtime.

When I wake up the next morning, my hair is still a little damp, but it usually dries pretty fast once I remove the scarf and take down the ponytails. (My hair looks best if it gets a chance to dry fully before I take it down, though.) Then I just fluff it out a bit and go.

thanks! what hair type are you? I am like a 4a/b so when i airdry it looks pretty ugh poofed lol and there is no ponytails and then take it down and it looks good ..unh unh:nono::grin:

I'm 4a/b, too. Trust me, the ponytail thing looks jacked up if it isn't done right. (I speak from experience.) :lachen:

I get the best results when I use exactly the right leave-in (NTM, for now), let my hair dry as throroughly as I can before taking it down, and keep my hands out of it as much as possible. That way, my hair is smooth and shiny and the waves are defined. Otherwise, it's :clown:

It takes a fair bit of experimentation!

I am 4b relaxed and i just keep my hair in rollersets to hide the NG and make it look presentable.

The longer i stretch, then i cant really wear my hair straight. Hair starts looking like a wig or helmet because of all the NG AND i can't get a comb through the back to make it straight.

And now that my hair is long enough to pull into a ponytail or pin up, i do just that while trying to use the scarf method to lay down the edges and perimeter cause its already looking like a forest at 8 weeks post.:nono:
