Anyone Else Forced To Do a Comb Over??

The front of my hair is breaking and thinning more than ever!

This has been my preferred style for the past few months to hide the damage...

Why are your sides thinning OP?

Get a full wig and gently braid your hair up. Wash DC and everything in the braids while you treat your scalp with a growth aid. (preferably a natural one and you will be back on track in no time) That area just wants to be left alone. ;-)
If you decide a get a wig get a wig with bangs so its not rubbing on your hair line.

Overprocessing and pulling back in a pony tail.
I use to relax every 6 weeks and the front never had as much NG as everywhere else.
The hair is weak and just dropping! I've tried everything (except wigs).

Thanks so much for the advice! I think my head is too big for wigs but i'll giv it some thought

Get a wig custom made. I am considering the same. I can't stand the BSS wigs I have one now worn it for a few days and am ready to trash it. I am getting one custom made.

I had pretty serious damage from wearing weaves. The main thing that has helped my temples grow back was to do nothing to my hair. No heat, low manipulation, just gentle cleaning on a regular schedule. I wore my natural curls and went more than a year without using heat on my hair. I didn't even use "growth" aids. Time is what filled them in. Its not the optimal approach if you are all about cute hairstyles but it worked.

You may have to add another one or two hair styles to your repertoire just so that you don't add too stress by manipulation on those areas. Which means watch the use of scarves and caps too.

I'm almost 20 weeks post...trying to hold out as long as I can to help it grow back but I find myself brushing it down every morning.
It's hard to just leave it alone because my hair will look a hot mess. I'll try scarves and caps!

I had taken a long stretch over the summer, and eventually my edges (and my nape, which was also damaged) grew back in. The next relaxer I got ended up being my last relaxer, but since I had stretched my hair stayed very healthy. I think I had an overprocessing problem.

divinempress, I might be mistaken, but I think Mzteaze was saying be careful wearing scarves and caps too, as these can also cause problems from the rubbing and friction..

Hopefully that area will thicken up soon..

Hellls yes!!!!! This is so me.

I've gotta comb over my whole crown area. That's why I gave up perming/texlaxing and am now in Sister Locks. .....As a matter of fact right now I'm in the process of adjusting the "grid"in my crown to cover up the thinness.
