Anyone do their own coils?

I know how to do my daughters but not my own hair.

If you do please inform me of where you start on the head and any tips or pointers. I don't want my hair to be a mess when I finish.

When you say coils, do you mean something like spiral curls or bantu knots? Just need more clarity.

Go to Naani.com and search either "comb" or "finger" coils and you'll find instructions. Good luck!

Sometimes their called twisties, on Naani.com they were called comb coils. Great website BTW. But it didn't give any pointers on doing on your own hair. I can do others just fine just not sure of doing my own.

I'll see if I can find a pic of my daughters.

Hers look really cute. I haven't tried comb coils in all the years that I've been natural, so I don't have many tips. I can continue to point out links though. Are you a member of nappturality.com ? You can search the terms over there and find loads of threads and tips. You don't even have to start a new topic, the info is there. I hope this helps.

Thanks for the tips. I was a member there before I came to LHCF. I always had problems logging in. Do I have to be a member to get in?

Yes, you have to be a member to get in there.

Other natural sites hmmm, I don't have too many because nappturality is my home away from home. But I do know of:

Both great natural hair sites,but still I don't think anything tops nappturality.
