Anyone airdry in rollers?

I've done this before with satin covered sponge rollers (walmart) and curls came out great soft and bouncy. My hair dried overnight and curls lasted a few days.

I always do this, eversince my soft bonnet attachment broke. I also hate to be confined to something for a long period of time,so sitting under the drier is not for me. Usually I start the rollerset in the evening (around 8pm) and just sleep in them . By morning, my hair is dry and ready for blow out!

Yep, usually I try to sit under the dryer on a low setting for a little bit but sometimes I don't feel like doing that. My flexi rod sets come out great without heat!

I do! Sometimes, if I do it late, I'll sit under the dryer the night before for about 10 minutes then sleep on them. Usually I can just let them dry overnight w/o a problem though. I also find they come out softer and bouncier this way, and I find my hair retains moisture better this way as well. I use magnetic rollers by the way...

I airdry with rollers often since I don't use heat on my hair. It always turns out perfect. Why do you feel it will defeat the purpose?

Yes, I do it all the time, too. I'm too busy to sit under a dryer for long. I use magnetic rollers and usually sleep in them overnight.

I airdry most of the time with rollers...I hate the fact that it takes longer to dry...but my hair always comes out softer and more moisturized when i'm airdrying than when i'm drying under a hooded dryer.

I've air dried with rollers when my dryer was broken. My hair actually came out softer and prettier that way, but it's uncomfortable sleeping with all those rollers so it's back to the dryer for me.

It just seems by doing it this way, your hair would come out frizzy looking but I guess not.

Yes, this is y I thought it would defeat the purpose, in response to the OP, but now I see it doesn't!! U guys have gotten me excited! Now wat about on hair that is months post relaxer?

As Melodee mentioned (thanks Melodee! :) ), I do airdry in magnetic rollers overnight most of the time, since I don't use heat and I do this 2x each week. The magnetic rollers smooths out the hair and straightens it too, leaving the hair soft and very moisturized.

ETA:
I do this up to 13 weeks post relaxer (made it to 15 and 16 weeks before too).

I do. I no longer use setting lotion, so I use UBH moisturizer to moisturize my hair before rolling. Sometimes when it's really dry, I may add S-curl or a light oil. Usually, I sleep on it, but if it's day, I just do chores around the house!
