Or is it just me?? everytime I try to click on a link or even post the address directly in the address bar, it takes for ever to upload, and when it does, its says page unknown :ohwell:

No its not just you Saida- its been hit and miss for me all day today. I guess alot of uploading and viewing for the New Year!
I got on once the stupidly logged off and cant get back in again:wallbash:

At first I was having problems. Then it came back up. The site is down again, though. Probably updating or having server problems. Let's hope that's all...:nono:

I mean tto make a post about some recent problems with fotki. Ladies who use PC/ Windows machines please be careful. I use a mac and sometimes when I click on links for albums, I get a pop up trying to install spyware on my computer. It's not a big deal for me because spyware can't affect a Mac, but I'm sure some of your computers may be affected by it.

I always wondered what fotki gets out of it if the service is free. It IS free isn't it? :look: (Can you tell I don't have a fotki yet?)

Me too its not uploading. When it finally did, I did not have ANY photos, NADDA, Zip, ZILCH.

It is not working for me either and it is making me :wallbash::wallbash::wallbash:.

I got the pop up for the spyware as well but my Norton identified whatever it was as a blocked attempt from a hardcore attack from fotki! I really hope the site has not been hacked and compromised. My poor pictures.....

Hi! I just made a thread about how to prevent the spyware pop-ups, but decided to put it in here too so more people see it.

First, turn you pop-up blockers on.

Open your internet browser. Tools ---> Pop-up blocker ---> Turn on pop-up blocker

Second, you have to restrict access to these sites in your browser.
  1. Open your internet browser.
  2. Tools.
  3. Internet Options.
  4. Security Tab.
  5. Click on "Restricted sites".
  6. Click on sites.
  7. Copy and paste the 3 websites below and add them to the restricted list:
http://*.pcsecuresystem.com

http://*.privacyconductor.com

http://*.advancedcleaner.com

http://*.antispywaresuite.com

And that's it! I'm pretty sure that there are more, so as this problem arises, just add the new ones to the restricted list.
