Am I alone in my weirdness? If my hands are idle, I find myself examining my twists for split ends! If I find aome I reach for the scissors and cut em off! I only realised I must do this a lot when a work colleague saw me looking at my hair and looked at me funny...
girlll....dont worry...I do the same thing too.....I think it is turning into an obssesion...lol...I just want my hair to be totally free of spilt ends...-Melissa
@ clover - been resisting just pulling em out girl! It's haaaard to do that though, LOL!
@ MWilson - I'm glad I'm not alone, I hate seeing split ends, or worse still, hair splitting off in the middle of the shaft. I'm trying to accept split ends are a fact of life but *snip snip* they've gotta go!
That is soo me. I take my scissors everywhere. sometimes i spend hours looking for split ends. once i was doing it in the doctors office and he asked me what are u doing counting your hairs. he probably now thinks i have ocd.
I do this all the time, probably because I am nervous for the splits to travel up the shaft of the hair. I found myself cutting some ends today. So I just put my hair up in a bun and moisturized it to keep my attention off my hair.
I used to be really bad with doing that and it actually did more harm than good. It meant that I was always touching my hair. I would snap the splits off with my nails and sometimes scissors. In the end, this lead to just a bunch of uneven hair and more splits b/c I wasn't using proper scissors and snapping was even worse than improper scissors.
Wearing my hair up has kept me from doing this and there is a NOTICEABLE improvement in the front/sides section of my hair. My last trim was maintained and it's growing and looking good.
ohmygosh i do this all the time, i always watch and see if ppl are watching me though. i even do this to friend's hair, checking if they have split ends.

when my hair isn't in a bun (which isn't too often) i constantly check and recheck. Then i will grab a bunch of hair towards the back to examine it more closely --because of course i need to make sure no split ends are trying to move in back there. I use to do this ALL the time, i still do
when my hair is down. i'm glad i'm not the only one
LOL! I'm gad to see it isn't just me! I'm determined to keep my twists in until the end of the month. Lord willing my next set of twists will be smaller so I can put em up in a bun and leave em alone!
