Any super long haired shorties around here??

I'm 5'2 and I want to grow my hair to WL, maybe even TBL but I JUST realized I may have the potential of looking like Cousin It with hair that long lol! What would YOU consider "too long" for a woman under 5'4? Pics would be nice too, just throwin that out there :grin:

I'm 5'1" and wonder the same thing. I'm currently shooting for mbl but I'm wondering how waist will look on me. Anything beyond and I'll never wear it out so it's not worth it to me.

Not yet, but I hope to be! I am 5; 2" with shoes on so when people talk about 20 inches of hair i think about my little 62 inches and know that even if I could I shouldn't
 
I don't have long hair yet, but I'm aiming for 20.5in (WHIP) as my long term-goal. I'm 5'4ish and natural, so I want the longer hair for the volume. :lick:

Personally, I think hair that can be sat on (sitting on your hair instead of your chair) is too long. I can't imagine the upkeep that would take.
 
I was waist length transitioning up until february this year and I'm 5'2". It was awesome and I didn't feel like cousin it AT ALL.

Eta: lemme rephrase that. There was the cousin it experience but in a good way. All that hair is sexy y'all. :lick:

I was almost most waist length until I had a chunk of it cut off this past June. I think I'm going to stick to mid back length(below bra strap) so I can manage it better especially when I take hot showers. I no longer crave long hair like I use to.

I didn't feel like cousin it. Oh and I'm 5'1.

I think waist length is the max for short women.

I am 5'2 and my longest was Tailbone (1/2012). Looked fine, I kept it back, up or curly. When straighter, I still gave it a beach wave effect. Beautiful to me.

My first goal is bsl but aiming for mbl. My goal was tbl to look "exotical" lol but at 5'2 my mbl would be exotic enough. Actually when I get close to mbl I would focus more on health and less on growth and retention.

ETA: I wanna see how long it takes to get to WL from MBL without trying for length.

I'm 5'2... my goal was waist length... but the closer i get to MBL the more certain I'm beginning to feel that thats my goal length. Its a lot of hair. And I feel it kinda overpowers my small frame. I might go to WSL and just do layers tho. Layers make a difference.
 
I'll just be a sexy "Cousin It" then. I'm 5'3..not even APL yet but I have my eyes on the prize. MBL-WL is my ultimate goal :)
 
I'm at the top of APL, praying for BSB this time next year. I've restarted my sulfur oil regimen and I plan on protective styling at least 80% of the time. I'll cross the "Should I grow on to WL?" bridge when I get to it.
 
NOPE!!!! I am 5'1, I have always had long hair, since my big chop 3 years ago, my hair is now bra strap length and I heading to waist length........I know I'll be super cute!!! I can't wait
 
Ok the only thing I think would be weird is one of us short girls with an extremely long pony. Idk I can imagine TBL hair worn out but if its in a ponytail it would kinda look like a short anime girl. I love that tho. Thats my real goal.

5'2" and I feel that BSL is the best length for my size. I recently got a couple of inches cut off so currently MBL. It would be nice to make it to full waist but I, too, would feel like I look like Cousin It. TBH, I think APL is fine, too.
 
Well, I'm 5'1" and I'm HL. When I got to BSL/MBL I started to think like you guys that maybe that was good enough for my height. But I kept growing and I have to tell you I love, love, love my length right now. If you have layers or part your hair for your face shape, I think it can work. And I've never felt like Cousin It. How funny. "Hummahumma humm hummm hmm hmm."
 
I'm a bit under 5'4" and my hair is a bit past waist length (not sure by how much). The pic in my siggy is over a year old, but when I next straighten my hair I'm sure it will look fine. I've gotten nothing but compliments on my straight hair.

Random: Is it weird that I don't consider myself short? Maybe I'm in denial. :lol:

By stretching a few curls in the back, I think I'm full WL now and closer to tail bone length. But I won't know for sure until my next flat iron.

Because I'm a less tall person (which is how I like to think of myself), bsl and wl aren't that far from each other. :look: But don't use the doorknobs in the pics as references b/c I think I'm leaning on the counter in the last pic. If you look at distance from under my arm pit to the bottom layer, you can see the difference in length.

But honestly, I think women at any height look fine with wl hair. I don't think it looks like too much unless the hair is worn completely straight and hangs way past their rear end.
 
First I would like to say, I am not short. I'm vertically challenged. I'm right at 5'4. My hair is close to WL but it feels short to me. Since my hair grows in a V I decided to grow to terminal. I don't think I will ever feel like it's too much hair b/c the bulk of my hair won't be at the longest point.

S/N: It's funny to see that most of the people that post on a reg are so petite:)

I'm right on the edge at 5' 3.5", so shopping for pants is hard. Sometimes the petite sizes are a bit too short in the leg, but then the average will be just a bit too long.

But I like being the height I am and have never desired being taller.
 
I'm getting the impression that tall girls don't grow their hair long!:lol:
I'm 5'2" and I love my height, or lack of height! More choice of men I say!!:wink:
Anyhow I'm bsl and aiming for tbl, although I don't imagine I'll want it dead straight at tbl. Long hair just hanging like curtains... no thanks.
But with a wave, or curl, or some layers... Deliciously sexy!! Bring it on!!

No but seriously, the one time I DID see super long hair (waist length) on a short girl was when I was in high school and it looked gross but then again... SHE looked gross so maybe that doesn't count lol.
 
I stand proudly at 61 inches (5'1) and I have every intention to grow my hair 1st to WSL, 2nd to HL and then beyond.
You know, the Cousin It thing never crossed my mind, not once. I want to grow and maintain my hair at W'HIP when it's all over.

I'm a shorty 5'2" and I don't mind looking like Cousin It at all. I have never really cared about what others think of me, so bring it on!

I'm 5'1" and my hair is past tail bone length, and I don't feel like cousin it. I mainly wear my hair in it's natural state tho.
 
It all has to do with proportion as well for some people have long or short torsos and it can make the final outlook vastly different. If it gets too Cousin It, a few layers will help balance it out I feel.
 
I'm 5'2 and I don't think I'll grow my hair past MBL. I don't even wear weave that long, but I think it also has to do with me being skinny. I have this fear that if I have a whole bunch of hair on my hair I'll look like a Bratz doll. Silly, I know. :look:
 
well im 5 even and my hair is full WL now. but i wear it natural so you cant tell.

when i do straighten it it doesnt overwhelm me at all. it doesnt look too long because in the back it comes down to a nice poin(V shape) and i recently cut long layers about 2 months ago.
