Any Kemi Oyl product line users??

The only Kemi product I have used is the shea butter pomade for my 2 strand twists. It leaves them moisturized for many days. But it is very heavy, and I am not sure how it would work on relaxed hair. But I do love the stuff.

I use the oil. It's great. I mix it with distilled water and spray it onto my hair. Their shampoo is gentle enough to be used every day. Doesn't dry out the hair.

I love the oil. Lately I have been cheap and don't get it since I can get a huge bottle of other oils for the same price, but nothing does my hair like the Kemi Oyl and people used to constantly tell me how good I smelled when I oiled my hair with the stuff. I am going back to relaxed hair in a couple of weeks and I will be sure to get some of my beloved Kemi. All I ever got was compliments on my hair with this stuff. I have never used the shampoo, but I am definitely going to try it.

Does anyone know what is in the Kemi Oyl?? The recipe on the box is vague.

I wondered the same thing. Must be everything the hair needs though. Thx for the responses. I'm a recovering PJ and wanted to know before I purchase something that I'll regret later.

I was thinking about mixing the oil with water for a spray mist to see how it moisturized my hair but I haven't done it yet. Thanks for the review!

The Kemi representative was asked this question during one of the chats. They won't tell what's in it.

I wish I knew what was in it, hopefully not anything crazy like urine or anything (sorry for grossing everyone out)

I don't like buying products that don't list the ingredients, either. I guess they are worried about someone copying it. I've tried to make oil blends and the results were disastrous! Thick, greasy and smelly!

If so, what did you think of the shampoos, conditioners, etc?

I bought their little sampler that had the shampoo, conditioner, oyl, conditioning spray and shea butter.. I liked everything except the shampoo.. I just didn't like it.. It was way too gentle... took forever to get a lather and it never left my hair with a really clean feel... I've bought some other products of theirs like the shea pomade and I liked them... they smell great.

The sampler pacakage was only like $17 so you can try everything for a small price.
