Its so hard finding a good salon hair *smh* I feel like resorting to No-Lye, its easier, and i know 2 people that do good relaxers, so any recomendations please?

I feel that if you must go no-lye, go with a trusted professional brand of relaxer like Mizani or Affirm that also make lye versions. They are more expensive compared to other no-lye relaxers and may run as high as $15 dollars for the relaxer/activator alone. That means you will still have to buy the supporting products (base, neutralizer, conditioners) to complete the process. They also aren't as readily available as regular box relaxers that you can just pick up at Walmart or a drugstore.

The regular box relaxers are okay too. They are usually around $5-6 dollars and they already come with everything you need right in the box. That's a plus. The only thing is the quality can vary greatly from brand to brand. :ohwell:

Thank you, im trying to find a good slaon, but i just can't :perplexed , so once my hairs back i may just go with no lye, funnily enough all my friends with healthy relaxed hair use no lye's. Oh and ive seen affirm no lye in box sets in bss over here

I use lye but if I were to go back to no lye it would be Profectiv, Silk Elements from Sally or Silk2 which I can't get my hands on.

You know I am in the same dilema. I was reading a hair magazine the other day and I saw alot of new no-lye relaxers that included oils like jojoba and olive and some even had shea butter. I am thinking about trying one of these but I don't know. I really can't see the difference of between a lye relaxer and no-lye relaxer my hair turns out the same either or:p

At One With Nature No-Lye Strong Ends Formula   I used this last week for the first time and  the results.

I use Soft and Beautiful no-lye and I like it. Also back in the day, I use to use the Optimum No-Lye, and that worked well too.
