Anti-Perspirant on Scalp

You been here since 2006? Hey, they put coochie cream and everything else on the scalp so why not? Try it and report back, I won't be doing it.

Do you realize these creams contain an active ingredient (an azole) used to treat anti-fungal infections of the scalp? (disclaimer - I have only used derm prescribed azoles) What active ingredient in deodarant is similar to one used for the scalp? There is no comparison here.

OP, I would not recommend it.

We are just being sarcastic, I am sure OP knows not to put that on her scalp, but since other things have been used maybe she thought Why Not?

:yep: I put it in my hair every summer. It took me a while to reach APL but ma hurrs is flowin!! All the naturals at the gym get jealous when ma hurrs don't revert.

I think you should start an anti-perspirant challenge. I for sure don't want my hurr to revert so i'll join you :)

LOL @ folks giving real, serious, thought out advice about this.

By the way, which Nair/antiperspirant combo are you using Jh? I wanna grow my hair out to toe length with a fresh and flowery-smelling scalp to boot!

Man, you playin'. We all know that deodorant marketed to men tends to have a more powerful anti-perspirant. You need to get that good-good Mitchum or Old Spice or Speedstick.

You'd think so, right? But Old Spice Classic & Speedstick has less active ingredient then my Secret invisible solid (16% vs. 19%). It's all marketing and scent. Not that I sweat like a 300 lb man in a sauna or anything. :sekret:

My scalp is a petulant diva, so I wouldn't do it. But you know, we've put crazier things in our hair. But I have a feeling certain-dri would dry out your hair and scalp like crazy. That stuff can be irritating on your armpits, can't imagine it on your scalp.

I guarantee you, if it works though, it will be the next bandwagon. Posts about which anti-persiperant works the best & the pros and cons of solids vs. gels vs. roll-ons. :look:

I think someone should take one for the team & try it. Not me, of course, but someone.

At least it's anti-perspirant & not nair

This is the one I use:

First you need to part your hair into four (or as many as you desire) sections. Then you rub your fingers on the antiperspirant and let it get warmed up in your hands. After it's warm and smooth just start rubbing it in. I've also found out that it works wonders in slicking down my baby hurrs. Have fun making other naturals souls burn when yo hurr doesn't revert.

Add that plus the KakaKiki and i may be set for the summer

Of course! We're the board of BKTs & cootchie cream.

Yall are ignant. But tying your hair down with a scarf or wearing a headband may help keep it straight

Ms. Feliz, I think you're lying! I just put some secret on my hair and it burnt me. Now I'm B-A-L-D-Headed in certain spots. :nono:

Look what came out in my kakakakikiki. :nono:
