Cute! What is crochet braid set? Is that the procedure used? Name of the hair?
It's the name of the process. You cornrow your real hair and then use a crochet needle or latch hook to loop the extension hair around the braids.
Using a regular crochet needle can be painful though because it can get caught on the real hair in-between the braids so I recommend using the latch hook needle instead as there less of a chance it will get caught on the cornrowed hair.

It looks really nice OP. :) Do you know what hair was used?

They aren't actually braids (although you can use pre-braided hair or braid the hair yourself), but I used a crochet needle to thread bulk curly hair into a base of 12 cornrows. I used 1 pack of Freetress Water Wave bulk hair. Most seem to use 2 packs but I'm not sure why I only needed to use 1 (and I also borrowed three pieces from a second pack).

ETA: I used a latch-hook needle rather than crochet needle, which is muuuuch easier. They have them for 99 cents at the BSS.

I could prolly do that!

I would use hair like OP and just cut it short.

Good job OP!! I luv it!!!!

These look great on you!:yep:

Now see, this is what I want to do with my hair! I just can't find anyone to do them for me. I guess I'll just have to try to do them myself.:perplexed

Really cute. I'm getting ready to take some 2 strand twists down and I think I'm going to install my first set very soon...

These look so good! I want to try doing this myself after I find a good enough tutorial on it...

Thanks for all the info OP! I think I may try this over the weekend if I can get my friend to braid my hair for me :look: What pattern did you braid the cornrows in? Just straight back?

Yep, I cornrowed them straight back in 12 cornrows and connected the ends together in one cornrow going across my nape.
