Does it matter what you do after relaxing? I mean in terms of water and styling. I've heard that you shouldn't wet your hair right away or it will revert a little. I've also heard that its OK to wet the hair. I've done it both ways with results that were....iffy. Can someone give me the real deal on this?

I'm relaxing tomorrow and I have to get this one right.

I cowash the next day with no problems at all.

What procedure are you following and what products are you using - maybe you can receive more help with more information.

Everyone has different opinions about this. I know a few people that don't use any water on their hair for two weeks after a relaxer!!!

My personal preference is to moisturize like crazy and wait at least 4 days after a retouch before washing my hair and doing a deep protien treatment. I also don't manipulate my hair too much.

I use Vitale no mix sensitive scalp lye relaxer but I'm thinking of buying something from the Vitale pro line today. I visted the AFAM website and it had some good information about those products.
