Another RANT about Stylists...

WOW! SJ Ur flatiron sneak peak is impressive. How many passes? And why did you stop using the pins?

HEEEE HEEE...... Gracie'! I don't know how many passes, but My iron is always on 10 ( or 450 degrees) and I had Sabino on. I used teeeeeeeny weeeeny parts... and passed maybe 1.5 times....

When I get my Runway - I know I can't pass more than once.

NO HE DIDN'T!! Just gonna put an iron at 400 degreez to your NATURAL hair with no protection?

Why is he still in business?

I think that most of these people are going out of business. People just cannot afford the outrageous prices of these people.

I will pay the money for the equipment ( pibbs, FHI, ingredients, oils, butters, etc...) and leave these people wondering.

What a mess! I think I would feel more comfortable getting one of my LHCF sisters to do my hair than to have to deal with a rude and incompetent stylist. Sam, I'm glad you didn't deal with that dude.

Can you believe that clown? Like some one else said - Girls here with 500 or more posts would do better.. I was stunned at how damn rude he was...

Boo on him... but in all honesty.. you really don't need a $300 flat iron to get the job done.. lol.. anyway of the regular technques will work.. even with natural hair. love them. I have 4.

Hmph...I've learned to take recommendations on here with a grain of salt...a stylist that folks were singing praises of on here jacked my hair up nearly two years ago...come to think of it the main cheerleader of this particular stylist was the resident liar on the board... probably never even sat in this stylists chair

Aww man! She was good too. You saw the pictures. But, this is the reason folks are losing clients and ladies are hoping on LHCF. Bad haircare ideas RUDY and Non Profressional Business Practices (PRECIOUS). Nobody has time for that foolishness.

Well, I got a call back from Meagan..she was trying to change her flight to accomodate me...310-484-6938. If you just want to throw the net out there again and see what happens.

I haven't been back to Precious since mainly because, ya know just been doing my nappy hair, but I really want to take the straightening into my own hands anyway. You and I both are looking at new FHI flat irons and we BOTH have Maxi-Glides. Hahaha. Eventhough I only semi used mine once on setting 4. It's just the PJ in me.

You kow what...HE WAS RUDE! Like stunned that I was asking him questions. Absolutely STUNNED, Shocked, and felt like I didn't have the right to ask questions about his hair care techniques.

I would like to have a stylist I could trust completely. I would like to be able to go some place and get hooked up. I don't always like doing my hair. But it is hard to find these days. I had one when I first BC and had TWA...and than my hair got longer, and I took my brother to his shop to get a haircut, which came out fabulous, but I saw the way he handled longer hair and I was like OH NO!

I have had great results from my Sedu, Solia and Maxi My fotki pics prove that......
But - since I won't be getting a bmw in this life.... I will get a FHI.

Thanks Girl.... It is HIGHLY unlikely.... but - I may call an old friend. She used to do my hair yeeeears ago...( When I was a perm head) The issue is she lives near where you got your hair done... my old hood...That is a long drive these days.

I honestly don't think he is in business. He doesn't work everyday and he comes in after 12 noon. I learned this from calling once when he wasn't there. His clients are better off trusting their hair in the hands of any LHCF Lady w50/ over 0 post.

Thanks Girl.... It is HIGHLY unlikely.... but - I may call an old friend. She used to do my hair yeeeears ago...( When I was a perm head) The issue is she lives near where you got your hair done... my old hood...That is a long drive these days.

Driving out here is no biggy for me. Everything I do is far away. I'm coming from Ladera to Westwood from westwood to USC from SC to Inglewood from Inglewood to Studio CIty. And than that twice a month trip to the Valley to Frends Makeup Store. Not to mention at MAC Beverley center every forthnight. lol

The things I'm involved in or where folks live cause me to have to drive far. I drive from Ladera to Westwood everyday...I'm surprised you have issue with driving. LA IS HUGE compared to most cities and stuff is spread out. At least gas is under $2 bucks.

Yep - I live in Woodland HIlls, my mommie lives in West LA.... So - I have to do the 101 and 405 thing.

School is 10 minutes away.
My whole life is in the valley now.... So - no LA drives for me.

I learned how to get salon flat iron results myself. You can do it. I'm with you, I don't know how they stay in business when they treat customers like they are a burden.
