 I just am so sick of nasty people....................

So I called a stylist - Who was HIGHLY recommended here on the Forum.........To ask about how much a Flat Iron ONLY would be..........

I guess I forgot about the whole "how long Your hair is" thing:ohwell: and he was SUPER nasty!!!!! Very Rude, he cut me off, and when I told him about his client, he said, "HMMM, well, what do you need...."

Uh Huh....:nono:

Dude, you are in the HOOD. I don't live there( I live in the Suburbs, so my drive would be about an hour:wallbash: in L.A. Traffic) and you wanna charge me 75 bucks?

The other person reccomended NEVER called back. WOW.
How do these people stay in business....????????

Please. That money is going toward the FHI...:lachen:

My Dec 20th reveal will be self done FO SHO....................

i haven't been to a stylist in about a month. i'm almost scared to, from all the horror stories i've heard on here. most i plan to do is to go get some braids to help me stretch.

glad you saved your money (and your hair). he probably wasn't the bomb anyway.

What kind of FHI are you getting? FHI's are the best! :D

I hear you SJ. I wouldn't even bother.

Pretty much all the 3 stylists I went to over the past year couldn't even comb my hair correctly. Mind you I would stretch and detangle before stepping foot in the salon. I don't want to even think about allowing someone to straighten it.

Since BCing, I've felt out of luck when it comes to salons. I'm tired of stylists pretending they're so experienced when it comes to natural hair whenever I inquire. They're all just jumping on a bandwagon because they see it as a "trend" they can cash in on w/o having the skills to back it up. :Sigh: I guess I just need to work on my own skills.

If it costs $75 to run a flat iron through some hair then i dare ask what he would've charged for a chemical service..:nono:

And i'm glad you didn't go. Tired of hearing salon stories bout folks who KNEW they acted nasty over the phone and STILL went to get their hair done cause of an emergency.

You knew what was up from jump and saved your hair..kudos

Well, literally all this dude ( yes - RUDE RUDY) would have had to do is, Flat iron my hair. I was gonna do everthing else. He did not let me get that out of my mouth.
Whatever, My mom has not been to a hair dresser in FOREVER.... I do her hair...so I have taken mommie's lead.

I know girl. OUTRAGEOUS! He did not even want to give me a price range....

 WHAT?

If more people stopped putting up with accepting any old kind of treatment from stylists, they would have to come to correct. I don't think I know of any other profession where a lack of professionalism is so rampant.

AAAAAAHGREED.

They won't get a dime from me.

glad to say my stylist loves me and i love her lol, she is like a grandmother to me. with that said i only go to her once every couple of months but she is so sweet and LOVES long hair. she damn near had a fit once when i asked her to cut me layers, and im glad she refused lol.
glad you didnt go to him. i hope everyone can find a stylist who excepts that they want healthy hair and is willing to help them with that while being polite and professional.

$75 dollars?? That's ridiculous. I used to get upset when my stylist charged me $50, but it was for a wash, deep condition (with a steamer), blow dry and flatiron. But she's really sweet. She calls me Rapunzel. I just have to make sure I'm really specific on what I want her to do.

Every time I get even the tiniest inkling of possibly going back to a salon, threads like these pop up.

I'll stick with doing it myself. Those crazies are not ruining all my progress.:nono:

Good for you OP for not even bothering with that man.

:lachen: I know.... Rude RUDY from MR2 Salon won't ever see me.

hAHAHA! When I was looking for someone to do my press I called that guy too. And asked if he used any products to protect the hair from heat damage. He said what? I said from permanently straightening parts of the hair due to heat damage.

He said NO. I said ok well thank you for your time. BYE BYE!

I have a maxiglide and I used it semi once. Like I used it on setting 4 out of 10. Didn't really straighten. That was back in Feb. I now want to get an FHI too. I was thinking the platform since it is on sale and I am a jobless student so can't affod the Runway.

NO HE DIDN'T!! :nono: Just gonna put an iron at 400 degreez to your NATURAL hair with no protection?

Why is he still in business?

I honestly don't think he is in business. He doesn't work everyday and he comes in after 12 noon. I learned this from calling once when he wasn't there. His clients are better off trusting their hair in the hands of any LHCF Lady w/ over 500 post.

:lachen:Dang... Well I called Precious too, and she never called back.....

That is cool 300 bucks is worth all these no 'call back' rude folks.
