I don't know about, or what the "2b" is, but to get henna darker, as in dark brown, I mix and then add indigo to the henna mixture.

You can also add either amla powder or fo-ti powder and black tea. This will help darken things up and tone down the red.

Where can I get amla powder or fo-ti powder?

I meant darker brown for the 2b

Desperategirlie- what part of Northern Va. are you in? Reason being you can purchase amla powder at Indo-pak spices in Herndon- it is located in the KmartCentre and is $1.99 per bx of 100g ( they also carry henna for the same price, shikakai, aritha and more). Also the only place that i know to get fo-ti powder is on-line. When i got mine- it got it from www.bytheplanet.com awhile back but there are many sources and you will have to comparison shop. Here is another source that i did locate though http://www.mountainroseherbs.com/bulkherb/f.php

hope this helps.

Sure thing- take care. Also when you do it- try a 50% henna/50% amla powder mix and see how that works out for you. Take care.
