another bad coloring experience

is it possible that my hair just won't take a semi perm color? (3c, pic in gallery) i've tried them all...even bought a light, bronzy brown color from the "other" aisle and still nothing. i'm following the directions and even leaving the color in longer than i'm supposed to. ggrrr /images/graemlins/mad.gif what to do, what to do? /images/graemlins/confused.gif

<font color="brown">Swirl, do you already have color in your hair? That could be a problem if you are trying to cover another color. Also, I don't know if I would recommend it but I sit under the dryer for a few minutes when I color. The color tends to take to my hair when I do this. /images/graemlins/smile.gif</font>

Hey LorraineG-- No, i don't have any color in my hair right now. I can't seem to get any to take. Thanks for the tip about the hairdryer. I may try that the next time (if there is a next time).

Yeah, with my semi's I too sit under the dryer. One time I didn't and it didn't take well. Also, my color takes different depending on when I apply it either on dry hair or on freshly shampooed hair. It takes better when I do it on freshly shampooed hair.
