so i went out today
i got my hair pressed on monday this week.
i have been wrapping and it has been going well
well today i went out to an event and it was all day
by the end my hair started frizzing a bit
this girl was like you should have flat ironed it this morning

im just annoyed cuz she was like do you own a ceramic flat iron....im like yea...but im not trying to use it 24/7 to keep my hair bone straight...my hair cant take more heat than every other week

anyways thats all

been there...many times. it sucks. at least yours lasted a week. i have sweated out or the elements have frizzed my hair in 1-2 days after the press. definitely sux.

I just ordered sabino products (www.sabinohair.com) to help elimnate frizz....i got a thermasmooth process and got frizzies the next day:ohwell: 65.00 down the drain  So hopefully i can give sabino a positive review!

I feel your pain. I haven't flatironed in about a month (i've blowdried my hair about 2 x though to stretch it) because it is a waste of time during this season

I don't know...

Sabino seems to be against deep conditioning and using oils on your hair...

Wow @ that link!!!! :nono:

According to them, you need to:

-Flatiron your hair on the highest possible setting. Anything over 400 degrees is best :perplexed

-Hold flatiron on your roots for 3 seconds and go down the length while counting to eight *cringe*

-Deep conditioning is a useless rip off :eek2:

Who in the HIZELL wrote this?????

Didn't a member here say "Ignore degrees from WikiU?":lachen: That's the best advice. Always deep condition your hair before using Sabino. I would read the reviews and suggestions on this site and then decide whether or not to use it. I also lightly oil my ends before rolling my hair at night and it works out great. I personally use Sabino and love it.:yep: JMO though.

ETA: Just extra, but PLZ do not give much credence to what you read in Wikipedia, WikiHow, Wikiwhatever. ANYBODY can post information on there. With that article posted in this link, if you go to the page and click on 'Edit' in to top right corner of the article, it allows you to edit it. I could write an article and say I'm from Sabino. This goes for anything, not just Sabino. Most of us probably already know this, but some of us don't.

I will give it a try then. I was going topsy-turvy when I was reading that advice:lachen:

ETA: Geez who posted a one star? I hope I didn't offend anyone about the Sabino:grin:

Don't worry about it, you're not alone!

Flat ironed my hair for the first time in my life last weekend and it looks like I won't be doing this too often at all :nono:. It looked good at first but it didn't even last a day! Besides, I don't want to be using too much heat while I'm transitioning... my hair is already fine as it is.

THERE IS NO WAY I WILL ALLOW A STYLIST TO HARD PRESS MY HAIR WITH A MARCEL IRON (that's what they use round here) AND QUITE FRANKLY I DON'T EVEN TRUST THEM WITH MY OWN FLAT IRON :look:.
