Angela Bassett's Hair Piece?

Ladies, is the braid around Angela Bassett's bun a hair piece? Would I purchase loose hair, braid it, and attach it to my own bunned hair or is this a hair piece I can purchase? Or is the whole thing (braid and bun) a hairpiece? I don't have a practiced eye. Any feedback is appreciated!

Girl, I was coming in to say I used to do that style sometimes when I had a relaxer by bunning my own hair and I would use a piece of weave hair to braid and wrap it around my bun.

However, with all your pretty hair you can do that style using all your own hair by bunning and taking out a separate piece of the bun and braid it and wrap it around the bun. If that makes sense.

I was looking for more details about your hair type and regi. It is really pretty.

ETA: Sorry Constance!! I was responding to Divine empress and I saw that you made the OP. So what I said in 1st paragraph would apply to you. I would bun my own hair and I would make a separate braid with another piece of hair and wrap it around and pin it on. Or you can use a drawstring pony and another piece of hair to get the look you want. Sorry again for the mix up.You're having great growth progress.
