Some of us dont even have ponytails the length of her daughter's hand spaces, from the smallest to the oldest.

Yowza.

Although truthfully, I don't think this is hard to accomplish for naturally straight hair. If they pair leaving it alone (no coloring, chemically treating or ironing) and treating it gently (plus trimming infrequently I guess) I can imagine this kind of retention. My BF has APL straight hair, and you should see the way he shoves his brush in and rips everything that gets in his way of a smooth rundown. Yet he still retains as if he were deep conditioning and finger-detangling weekly. He still cuts his hair to keep it APL. Straight hair....so low maintenance.

Good for them. I'll take it but in my own texture. I'm more impressed when I see afro-textured hair in long lengths and I get to see when WE can do everyday on this site.

Lololoo I still to this day believe that long hair on some people gives them a dirty look. This just confirmed that.

These kinds of threads should include the texture/race/ethnicity in title so that all the people who are never impressed by long straight hair on whites/Asians/etc. can more easily skip over them, rather them come in and post the same comments every time,.

OP, join TLHC, so you can post this kind of thread to a more receptive audience, ;).

Other than bun styles, long straight hair just seems really plain to me. Maybe if she had layers or something. Now if it was kinky or even curly hair, I would be impressed. I always wanted hair long enough to do the Indian style buns though where you use your own hair to have it hold up.

Thats too much for me. I can't imagine air drying, let alone the amount of conditioner I would need for that much hair!

When I saw it the first thing that came to my mind was she and her daughters could be long lost relatives of Cousin It. I am glad it works for them, that would be waaaay too much hair for me to deal with.

I agree it needs to have some texture or something but if it did, i wouldn't want it to be that long because I think even that would look weird. To me (and me only) long hair like that on clear folks can age them horribly when it starts to turn grey. It never is a total silvery color or all white it is half and half and strange for the ones that I have seen. At that point I do think they should cut it.

I can only imagine the hairballs in that house.
