amla oil

This site is great! I have gained much from all of your posts over the last few weeks and hope to learn and share more in the days ahead.

I saw Dabur Amla Oil at a local market. Is this a good brand to use? Should I be concerned about the mineral oil in its list of ingredients? Your recommendations would be helpful as I would like to include it as part of my hot oil treatments. Thanks!
 
That is the brand I use. It is great as a hot oil treatment. Be careful using it alone...it is very very rich.
The scent is strong also(a lot of people don't like it). I use it in my pomade. I found when I mix it with rosemary oil they offset each other(scent wise).
 
I also use it and like it alot. The smell is a bit hard to love but I love the way it leaves my hair soft but not greasy.

I saw the recipe for your pomade on another post. I might try it one of these days. What does the amla oil smell like? Does it have a citrus scent?

I really can't describe it...kinda of musty and pugnent..the smell is unique...very strong....
 
Where have you found the Amla oil? I've checked a lot of places and no one seems to know what I'm talking about. I don't really want to buy it online. Sweetcocoa, I followed your recipe and skipped the amla oil since I didn't have it. It's wonderful.
