Or do you space out the usage? It made my hair ubber soft after chlorine damaging effect, but It seems to be weighty!

I use it a couple times a week on my scalp and hair. I also use it for a hot oil treatment with some olive oil before shampooing and I mix it in my DC sometimes. Love it!! I Don't use that artificial green one though.

HOLD the press, which one do you use. I thought the green was the only kind, let me know make and model so I can gift this to someone else and buy the real deal. LOL

The Brahmi Amla oil I use (Hesh Ancient Formula) is too stinky to use more than once in a while. I mix it with my henna.

I use it when I feel like using it. I don't wash it out. Right now I am wanting my hair a bit blackish with slight red tint, since I increase the usage. It does work.

I use my Amla about two/three times a month as a pre-poo. I don't like that it turns my hair dark, but it does make it strong and soft.

once a day. since i have a sew-in afro weave. Because i wash/cowash every 2-3 days, this keeps my scalp from feeling dry and flaking.

also, because of it's darkening benefits, i don't worry about gray hairs.. when you get a certain age, yes, that is a problem.

I order mine from garrysun.com. They have really great prices. They have reg amla oil and "special" amla oil which is the kind I buy that has 4 times the amount of amla oil as the reg one. They also contain some Brahmi and are infused in pure sesame oil.

Thanks so much well I will be ordering me some SPecial amla as well  I appreciate it. I do like the feeling the amla oil gives but it breaks my face out, I have to get a facial when I put that in, around my forehead started to get bumps and by my side burns, with the facials it definitely stopped all that. Wierd though so I figure once to twice a month usage will be great. :)

I use it every single day with my hair in yarn braids. My scalp is extremely dry and always has been. I don't wash it out. It really soothes my scalp! I love it so much I am ordering a couple of bottes of it not to ever run out! The smell does'nt bother me like some ladies here, so it is tolerable to me.

But I do mix mine with shikaki, and maj.....oil and the brahmi oils as well. My scalp does not feel dry and tight!

I use Dabur Amla Oil (a.k.a "the artificial green one"....LOL!!!:lachen:) 2x's per week as a pre-poo with S-Curl. Can you say MIRACLE-WORKER three times fast!! It makes my new growth melt away. I sit for about an hour under a plastic shower cap. When I'm ready to wash, I clarify first, then proceed to my regular regimen. I love what amla oil does for my hair and how it makes my hair feel.:yep:

Guess I need to start using the 2 bottles I have under my sink more often!

Yes. I use it once a week as a prepoo. My hair does feel a little weighty, but I guess it doesn't bother me because I bun 6 days a week.

I have been using Dabur Amla oil all my life. I actually like the smell but I use it on my ends. and very sparingly take a dab and rub it thoughout my hair once a week

I just bought the green one. Thanks for letting us know. How is the smell on the one you buy I don't like the smell of the green one.

I use the Dabur Vatika too. That's bad for you??? Please tell me this isn't so!

Why is it bad and artificial?

What is the absolute best one? I don't care how much it stinks lol

I believe it's because Dabur Amla has a mineral oil base. If its used as a prepoo, i don't see any harm in using it.
Vatika is a totally different oil

Am a natural and i use it once or twice weekly in my pre poo. I love it. I follow with Amla Hair Food Emami brand- it's very light.
