i havent tried it but one of my roommates lurks on here and bought it and i was not too fond of the smell it kinda smell like real strong men's cologne to me so im not too excited to buy it anymore. plus i dont plan on using a lot of heat on my hair

Your not the only one. I use it whenever I use heat, but I honestly don't think it does much for my hair. I only use it because everyone here says it's such a good heat protectant. I like the smell, but it makes my hair feel weird.

I didn't like it the first time or two that I used it but I think I was just using it wrong because I really like it now.

I don't like the smell of it though.:nono:

What do you not like about it?
I've used other heat protectants and gotten similar CSI results so I know its not the end all be all, but I don't necessarily dislike it.
I'm not sure it's a protectant or what exactly it's purpose is. I don't like the way it feels and it's too expensive.:perplexed

I just don't see the rave I guess...

ITA - I bought it thinking it would do......something, but I feel like it does nothing for me. I like the smell but that's about it. I think it gives a little shine??? :perplexed Maybe....:look:

I like it (don't love it), but hate the smell. It also is a little heavy. I don't use it anymore.

The only thing I don't like is the smell. Other than that it's the only thing that gets my rooots smooth (53 weeks post).

exactly. when i used it several times at first i didnt see the hype. at the time i think i was using to many products and i was using a non ceramic flat iron. now i use it with my CHI flat iron and i love it.

My hair doesn't like it. I like the smell which reminds of when a good looking, good smelling man gives you a hug. Anwho, this one of the first products I purchased when I joined LHCF and began my journey to PJ ism. It made my hair dry and crunchy. This product was one of the first that helped me to realize my hair does not like cones.

I'm kinda 'meh' about it.

For my hair it's nothing to rave about and SERIOUSLY not worth the retail price. I bought a gift pack of Chi products that included the CSI for $5 so it's ok for what I paid, but I wouldn't repurchase it.

Now that could stop me from ever trying it out, and the fact that I already have something like it.

Yeah, it'd smell good if I was a man. Smells just like cologne. I wonder why the company decided to go in that direction with the fragrance.

I absolutely love it!! It reminds me of the smell of a man and it softens and helps to detangle my hair when I air dry. Did I say it reminds me of the smell of a man...........?

I wanted to ask this question when I first started posting, but I didn't want to cause any waves (since its so loved around here.)

The first couple of times I tried it, my hair came out nice, but then it began looking and feeling like straw. I slowly eliminated everything from my regimen to try to narrow down the culprit, and it turned out to be the CHI.

I still have a full bottle, so I want to revist it. Maybe it just wasn't mixing well with something I was using at the time?

So, I guess that was a long way of saying "No. You're not the only one :)"

I dont like that it smells like my 6th grade teacher  and it dries my hair out after using it for about month.
