Am I doing a good thing?

I have been sleeping with a plastic "jheri curl" bag on under my silk scarf after I moisturize my hair every night. It works really well for braid out or just wearing my fonytaill.

Is this a good thing or too much?

Nope. Little to no breakage whether my hair is wet or dry.

If her hair was breaking, wouldn't it be a good thing also, to keep the moisture in?

i think its just a matter of being extra careful with combing if hair is moisturized to dampness. treat it like freshly shampoo'd wet hair and I dont see a problem. whenever I do the baggie thing and I take it down I comb extra extra slow because my hair tangles and snags real easy when fully wet or even damp.
