Am I crazy for doing this?

You'll have to excuse me 'cause I'm out of my element for even thinking of doing this.

I went to high school (5 years ago) with a girl who had beautiful thick mid-back length hair. I didn't know her personally, but would see her occasionally in the halls. She ALWAYS had a great hair day. Even on the hottest of days (I live in Florida), it held a curl.

SO...she's a friend of a friend on Facebook and I thought about messaging her about her regimen and how she takes care of her beautiful hair. Am I crazy for thinking about contacting her? I feel a bit awkward about doing this and I'm not sure why.

That's not so bad. Just butter her up really well and tell her how you always admired her hair, but would've felt silly asking about how she cares for it, etc. etc.

No ur not crazy. I want to get up the nerve to ask people about their hair. I see plenty of them on myspace and facebook. Maybe one day. But go ahead maybe u'll find some good info u can share with us.

I say go for it..then come back to LHCF and share:grin:

I sent her a facebook message last night and got an almost instant reply.

My message: Hi! Your hair is beautiful. What do you do to make it look so pretty? Do you go to a stylist or do you take care of it yourself? I live in FL and the summer heat and humidity is killer. Especially if you want to wear your hair down and curly.

Her reply: Thank you so much! I get a relaxer every 2 months or so, but I generally just take care of it myself. I wash it every week with Fructis shampoo and conditioner. I also use their leave in conditioner and Paul Mitchell's Silk Therapy. I rollerset it and sit under the hair dryer for 2 hours and then flat iron out the tight curls. I leave enough curl, though, to keep the body. I then wrap my hair EVERY night. I usually don't have to curl it or anything in the morning; just unwrap and go. Since it is now summer, it is much harder for it to stay looking nice b/c my hair frizzes very easily. I don't have a solution for the humidity yet. I just wear my hair back in a ponytail or deal with the frizz. Hope that helps!

Her regimen sounds like a lot something off our website. However, I dont have the courage to ask her if she's a member of LHCF though.
