Hey SG,
Which brand do you use? I got some for Whole Foods on Greenville that was about $12.00 and it was ok, nothing to brag about.

I think it's all the same, but the current one I'm using is the one from fromnaturewithlove.com

Thank you Leslie!
I have posted a picture of my "before "hair". In 2001 I had to give myself a major cut. My hair was really damaged b/c of the stress of nursing school and no time to take good care of it. So I guess it has taken 3-4 years.
flyjump,
my hair is similar to your before pic. Im starting nursing school in September! I hope Im able to still take care of my hair! I know I will be bust and stressed, but I hope by the time I fninsh LPN school(Sept 2005) and start RN school (January 2006) Ill have bra strap length healthy hair.
If mine starts acting up and I dont have time to deal with it, its back to the phony pony! it never failed me!
It's a little lighter, but it penetrates my hair better than the Wanakee oil. I found the Wanakee oil a bit heavy. I think Jojoba does a better job for less money. As an upside it's more natural (Wanakee's oil doesn't actually have any oil in it. Or it didn't.)
I bought the Hair Oil a couple of years ago and it's just sitting there in my bathroom collecting dust. I didn't know at the time how to properly use it since I had not discovered haircare boards yet. I now have Keracare Essential Oils which is awesome and I use it as a pre-shampoo treatment. I still don't know how to use the Wanakee Hair Oil but I don't want to throw it away. How are you using it Scasey? Your hair looks so long, shiny and gorgeous,
I still use the Wanakee Constant Care for Ends although I more recently learned about Protectiv Healthy Ends. The Constant Care for Ends is pricey but I love it. It worked for my ends even when I knew nothing about hair care and was abusing my hair and ends. I keep my jar in the fridge and it lasts most of the year that way.

Thank you Isis for the compliment. I am embarrassed to say that I just bought another bottle of the Wanakee Oil b/c when I was in D.C. I noticed that a lot of shiney hair at work but I didn't have the courage to ask them what they used. I can't afford to buy anymore though.
I would like to thank every one for the suggestions. I am going to go price the oils and test out the cheap ones. I used the Hot Six Oil about 5 years ago and I liked the smell but it was a little too greasy for me. My daddy loves it though, it makes his hair soft.
