I have used the Alter Ego i think its garlic conditioner. Its in a jar with green somewhere on it. I think it says garlic. Anyhow, it was pretty darn expensive and didnt really do much for my hair. However, it is really popular in the Dominican salons, every girl in thier had a jar, so I jumped on the bandwagon and purchased one too.
I've used the carrot conditioner and I still use the leave in "drops", scalp treatments/vitamins. I love this one, it's helped me regrow my edges and it smells great. It's a liquid (looks like water but its not)
I was wondering when someone on here was gonna mention this line. I haven't tried anything by them personally but it is definitly a trend here in NYC. Everytime I go to a Dominican place they try to sell me the coconut mask for dry hair. But it is expensive and I don't bat an eye at price normally. I know which one you are talking about Britt.
I saw the Refreshing Hair Conditioner under their Serical line. From the description, it sounds similar to the Impac Ego Herbs Conditioner under the Hairwash category.
The Alter Ego products definitely sound interesting. I will try to find out more on my next salon visit.
the lotion restuctures(revitalizing lotion).....that's the "drops" i mentioned...
I also used the shampoo but that was a bit expensive because it was so small. $11 for 8oz.
This is what the Brazilians used in my hair. They washed and blew my hair out (no curlers...it was near closing). The stylist couldn't tame my ends for anything but she got them under control when she applied the alter ego restructuring creme.
I am glad you mentioned this because my salon uses a conditioner from them ...I went this weekend to see if they sold it, and they didn't.. I tried Alter Ego.com and that wasn't happenening. I tried to click on the address provided, but it wasn't working for me
sorry it's not working..don't know why, but you can't purchase from that site anyway. I just gave it for product info. If you can get to the city...a few BBS in Washington Heights sell them:

I posted about this product yesterday. My stylist used it on my hair Saturday. I believe she told me it was either from the Dominican Republic or Spain. There must be a lot of different products with this name. I'm going to clarify which one she used on my head because my hair feels like silk. I'm very impressed.
Anyone still use the Garlic Hot Oil Tx/Conditioner? It's pricey, I tried it once and it left my hair so soft after the rollerset. Is it worth the money though?
I have never used any of the conditiners, but I have used the Alter Ego Bright & Shine spray. This spray is awesome it provides great long lasting shine.
