I hear tat some ladies use this for hair stimulation and sometimes in their relaxers but now tat I went 2 do research on it is mainly saying its for skin treatments and stuff. is this true? do any of you ladies use almond oil for your hair how and why?

I use Sweet Almond Oil sometimes on my scalp. Particularly when it's dry and during winter. It's usually used to treat dry skin on the body in general--including the scalp. It's a great stimulant for the scalp and full of good fatty acids. Good to use for scalp massages.

It's a great carrier oil and I've used it mixed with other oils in a hot oil treatment as well as with cholesterol for a deep conditioner. I did try using it mid-wash like coconut oil, but it just sits on the hair and isn't really absorbed. So for everyday sealing or lubrication of the hair, I wouldn't recommend sweet almond oil.

Good Info! I think I will try it in a hot oil treatment. I rarely use mine. I love Jojoba and Coconut oils too much but it does really help when you have dry scalp--especially in the winter months. I don't use it on my hair but I like the hot oil idea.:yep:

My first amla oil infusion I made was with sweet almond oil. I still have a big bottle of it from the Indian grocery. I can't remember it all now, but I did some research on it and it is definitely good for the hair and scalp. I use it in a mixture I add to dcs.
