I just bought some today(actually they are the capsuls because the tablets were too pricey for me). I thought I read here somewhere here that they were good for something, but I can't remember what? Has anyone tried them?

I take 2 tablets of 650mg alfalfa a day. They're good for detoxifying the kidneys, liver, gastrointestinal system. I like them.

I take a couple of different supplements, so any difference in my hair or skin, I can't truly attribute to just one of them except Flaxseed Oil. I've been taking this for about 3 months, and the skin on my face no longer has a tendency to be dry; I don't even have to use a moisturizer. Also, I tend to have dry scalp, and its been relieved since taking the Flaxseed Oil softgels. I don't know if the alfalfa has anything to do with that.

I tried them (alfalfa) because I heard they helped in hair growth...I'm not sure whether they've helped in that area or not because I started taking all my supplements at the same time. SIDEBAR: I have been taking biotin for about 4 years, and have had a fast growth rate with my nails and hair from that. I don't take the plain ol' biotin tabs anymore...I take GNC Ultra Nourishair, which has 1200mcg of biotin in it. HTH!

Its really good for cleaning out the body and nourishing the gastointestinal tract. Its also good for little things like helping with body odor and bad breath. A side effect for some is increase in hair growth. I've noticed this when I take it consistently.

I heard alfalfa stimulates the appetite. Would any of you ladies say this is true?

Girl, I have a mega appetite anyway...I'm always eating something, so I haven't noticed an extra increase. I'd say I eat about 4-5 small meals a day. My metabolism is very high, and I'm hungry every three hours on average.

OMG, I'm the same way! Like clock work every three hours I gotta eat something. I eat 4-5 meals a day also. Thank goodness for my warp speed metabolism!

I've just started taking the Health Aid High Potency Herbs Super Alfafa Leaf 700mg each tablet. I nearly choked on the tablet, so now I crush 2 and blend it in my my homemade smoothie. Hopefully it will enter the bloodstream quicker than when i pop the tablet whole.

Ok, well I have a high metabolism as well except my appetite is very poor. I eat maybe 1-2 times a day and it's not even a full meal so I'm hoping this will help along with the hair benefits.
