Hello all
I have a question on air drying, I have natural 4a/b hair and I find that when I air dry there is more hair on my comb, than if I blow dry. is there a reason for this? resently my hair has been shedding a lot, no breakage, just shedding. Iam wondering if Iam doing something wrong

any suggestions would be greatly apreciated

When I was natural I noticed this only when my hair was dry....so I only combed through my hair when it was coated with conditioner. Once it started drying I used my fingers only. I'm not sure what would help if you are doing the ponytail method.

Even though my hair is permed, I noticed that my hair snaps something terribly after it's been airdried, compared to blowdried. Rubbing some Hot 6 Oil on my hair after airdrying does tend to help with the matter some.

I always thought airdrying should make the hair stronger instead of weaker...

I have to be waaaaaay more careful with my airdried hair than if I just blowdried it. But once I add products on it, this alleviates the problem and everything is well again.
