I ask becasue I just waonder if I put too much stuff in my hair. After I condition, I usually put a leave in, then a moisturizer, and then when it's almost dry, I apply jojoba oil and sometimes more moisturizer.
I use motions leave in
when detangled i'll use a styling aid if i do a braid out (serum, taming cream, or oil)
then i'll dry it and use moisturizers during the week.
so basically i'll only use 2 things after my hair is conditioned.
Well today I used Elucence leave-in, then I applied the L'Oreal Serum and then I started thinking...man how much stuff am I going to put in my hair? In a little while I'll probably mix up some Elasta QP mango butter with some jojoba oil and then I'll be done.
hwell:
Have you been using the L'Oreal Serum as a leave-in on your sister's hair or as a styling aid?
Lately, I've been using a bit of World of Curls Activator followed by a creamy leave-in. Sometimes I'll apply a silicone serum or a bit of oil or moisturizer like Khiel's Silk Groom or Elasta QP Mango Butter.
both.. i'll only use a bit of motions nourish b/c i'm running low and i'm greedy
and want it all to myself.
But i'll use mostly the serum on her b/c it detangles really well and makes her hair lay down. When i apply it, I do so while her hair is wet and before i style it, she doesn't use it on dry hair during the week.
I always use two products after I've shampooed and conditioned my hair.
Kiehl's Leave-In Conditioner (always)
Then one of the following:
Smooth 'N Shine Ultra Light Hair Polish (Serum)
Worlds of Curls
Kiehl's Creme With Silk Groom
Elasta QP Mango Butter Moisturizer
Spray leave-in conditioner. Always. Sometimes I use S-curl and then a little oil on the length, followed by hair grease on the ends. So, that makes 4 products. Sometimes I skip the S-curl which brings it down to 3. I'm not sure the hair grease (I use Wondergro Shea Butter Mega Moisture stuff) really counts since I just put it on the ends to protect them from splits.
I use a serum and then a leave-in (Razac, Infusium etc.). The serum I use works so well, I find that it moisturizes well, that I tend not to add more moisturizer to it..The next wash tho' I will be applying Profectiv Healthy Ends to my ends..
I used Profectiv Break Free on my hair the last time, and I think it was too much with the leave-in and serum..It kind of made my hair a little rough..
BTW, all of that is used before rollersetting..
When I airdry I use the serum + leave-in + Motions Oil Moisturizer + grease/moisturizer on my scalp..
I use a leave-in of Humecto and water and after that I mix some S-Curl with Mango Butter, apply that all over, and end it with a bit of olive oil on the ends. I airdry 95% percent of the time (I only rollerset when I touch up. I may try doing it on wash days too).
For air dry days: usually s=curl. Sometimes I follow with extra virgin olive oil.
For rollarsets: Any one of the following: New Image Damage Free, Keracare Silken Seal, Lanza Protectshine serum, Kiehls Silk Groom. Depends which I feel would work best at the time. I've also mixed the same conditioner with water and sprayed that in as a leave-in.
I put WGO on my scalp and new growth. Then I put Nexxus Biotin Creme on my thinning edges. Then my leave-in potion (mostly water, Nexxus Headdress, Keracare Essental Oils, and Infusium 23. I also use this to wet my hair while roller setting. I put a tiny bit of carrot oil on each end before I roll it. This time, I added S Curl too. That may be why my roller set came out so smooth....that and the Pantene S & S !!!
