After starting \"Better hair Care\" did you find....

...that the texture you thought you were (4A, 3B, etc...)was wrong??? For example: Were you always a 4A, but after you started washing and conditioning more frequently, moisterizing better, using less or no heat, did you find out you were more like a 3B??
Please share.

No not my hair, but for my daughter's hair after awhile we found that she has a mixture of 4A/4B and some 3C.

My grade definitely changed with the MSM and B-5, it looks like I hav naturally curly hair, but I know better. I could go 4 months and not need a relaxer, which makes it hard to tell if my hair is growing because now my new growth is so soft and silky...but again I know better. When I post my pics I will include some of me as a child....then everyone will know better.

I've only been on MSM for 3 weeks and I must say, my hair has grown a LOT and it is very soft and curly, almost like I am a 3A/B when I am really a 4A. I'm gonna up my dosage because I am starting on 500mg and working towards 1500mg. This way I have not broken out on my face. It is GREAT for allergies. Thats what really made me take it, the hair growth is an added benefit

well i cant really tell my hair type.. It is soft and when i put it back in a ponytail... you can not tell i have new growth because it blends in with the straightened hair. Would that be in the four group ? I guess it is a mixture since some parts are straight and others are curly

My family is from Christ Church.

I have no idea either what my real texture would be classified as but I only have a little over 3 inches of new growth. It is a lot more manageable than I originally thought though. I think everyone may have a mixture of textures throughout their hair. I'm finding that some parts of my hair is less curly than other parts. Could it be that taking better care of your hair and having styling products really does help?

most definitely, hairlove! but that's true whether you're natural or relaxed.

i don't think my texture has changed that much since i started taking better care. i think the right products do help bring out natural curl patterns and encourage cooperation. before, i was fighting my hair and trying to get it to do what it didn't want to do. that usually results in damage. now we're homies!

Yes,

I originally thought I was a 4a/b--but now I believe it to be 3c/4a.

Re: After starting \"Better hair Care\" did you find....

I always considered myself a 4a/b, but after coming to this forum, I found out that I'm a 3b/c!!!

Re: After starting \"Better hair Care\" did you find....

Um, nope my hair texture hasn't changed. It's just stayed that way. I think your hair texture should stay the same.
