After a fresh relaxer...

...I can't seem to keep my hands out of my hair! I just relaxed my hair earlier this week and I'm constantly in it. I have washed it 3x this week. I have done a protein treatment, moisturizing treatment, deep conditioned, steam treatment, and nightly scalp massages. I'm just going to have to braid it up.

What are some things you do after a fresh relaxer?

After a fresh relaxer, I either rollerset or slick it back into a ponytail. Things that I can not do after 7 weeks post!

I couldn't keep my hands out of my hair either after a fresh relax-- but that was b/c of all the burns, sores, and scabs!

In the words of Willow Smith, " I whip my hair back & forth" :lachen::lachen: After a fresh relaxer you cannot tell me nada. It blows easily in the wind, lots of body and movement.

I am 5 months post and am getting a relaxer next wed. OMG in preparation I've gone to Sally's and bought a WHOLE bunch of new toys (the tangle teaser, a new soft bonnet steamer, argan oil). soooo excited. but then when I get my relaxer, I'll wear it out for like... 4-5 days then start bunning and protective styling again; lmao!

Oh, no! How can we help? What is your technique?

After a fresh relaxer I take TONS of pics :click: because you can't tell me NOTHING when I have swang. Please don't let it be windy outside because I'd need a slow motion button :giggle:

Lol! I did the same thing in preparation. I ran right to Sally's. And, just like you stated back to protective styling.

I actually like my hair after the first wash post relaxer. The body and swang is just sickening!

I am freshly TUd right now and I've been good, actually. I've been tempted to let it swang and bang but I've been a good little girl and have kept it in a protected style. I love the slick/sleek look of my pony after I'm freshly TUd. I am also skeptic to do much with it because I think freshly TUd hair is kind of fragile and the strands are easily broken.

I sit there and run my hands through my hair from root to tip. And when my hands get tired, I get a k-cutter, put some coconut oil on it, and run that through instead.
I just try to make up for months of not being able to access my scalp without jheri curl juice, vatika oil, a rattail comb, and a quick prayer unto the Lord.

I feel you! :lachen:

Gurl, I was taking pics too!

I'm doing an all day deep condtioning treatment today while I'm at work. My hair is as hard as a rock from the conditioner.

She felt damaged from wearing my hair out for 7 days so I decided she needed a little tlc.

I have a photoshoot with me and my webcam/camera, get all jazzed up clothes wise...

And then back in an off the shoulder style for school lol
