After a conditioner wash....

Do you go ahead and style as usual?? I mean could you go ahead and roller set your hair? It just does not seem like your hair would be clean enough to proceed as usual. /images/graemlins/confused.gif I know those who exercise say they wash with conditioner several times weekly. Would anyone care to explain what they're process is after washing with conditioner?? Thank you kindly to anyone who responds.

Actually, your hair is clean after the conditioner wash. You have to scrub your hair and let the shower hit it hard for at least 3 to 5 minutes before you apply the conditioner. I call it the "pre-rinse". Once you get the conditioner in, scrub it like it's a shampoo. The water pressure and your finger tips are the key to getting the dirt out.

I usually do a deep moisturizing conditioner after that (under the heat cap for 20 minutes), then after rinsing, I spray in my leave-in, which is usually Infusium 23 or Elasta QP H-Two and proceed with the roller set.

I use Nioxion scalp therapy on my scalp and Pantene comditioner on my hair, otherwise my scalp feels dirty. It could all be psychological though /images/graemlins/smile.gif

Really?? Interesting. Now that I think about it, I believe I read somewhere that conditioner has a certain amount of cleanser in it. So basically the advantage to doing a conditioner only wash, is to retain moisture?? Is this something that people do often, or that you do often Crysdon or Imogin? I'm still trying to see what the benefit would be. /images/graemlins/ohwell.gif Thanks ladies for your help. This is all new to me. /images/graemlins/drunk.gif

I personally do wash once a week even when I do a condtioner wash. But, when I do a conditioner wash, I get out of the shower, spray with Giovanni leavin put a little olive oil on my hair, gel and fluff with my towel. You can also use apple cider vingegar rinse after your conditioner wash, it helps if you have oily hair, it helps your hair feel clean.

I use two conditioners to wash. The first is light and easy to wash in and wash off. The second is a deep condition which I keep on for 20 minutes under a cap covered with a towel.

I avoid conditioners with silicone as those although add shine can cause build up which is only removable with shampoo.

I'm doing a braid regimen so I haven't really had the chance to style my hair since I took up condition washing.

I am trying to find the thread where this was discussed in great lenght. Any help? I do this every day,(condition wash) I work out 6days a week and I do not feel clean leaving the gym with sweaty hair. I air dry as well, I love it, it has bought life to my hair again, I have not seen my hair this great since I was a child no kidding.

I think Nay007 posted something about a condition-wash-condition where you wash only the scalp and put conditioner on the length to protect it from the suds. Hold the length out and just rinse the sudsy part, the rinse the rest and then condition everything. I can't find it but this is basically how it was stated.

Imogin..do you have a relaxer?? I pm'd you some information that may be helpful. I appreciate all the responses. Everyone is so very helpful here.
