What relaxers were you using before the Mizani? And were they lye or no lye?

Well,
I just had my first experience w/ Mizani Rhelaxer on Friday. It was not good. I began to burn before the assistant was able to get to the front sections. I had her rinse me after only a few minutes. As a result, my hair is underprocessed and I suffered some burns. I feel frustrated because I asked for the Mizani after learning that Vitale Sensitive Scalp was actually no-lye (which is what the assistant used on my prior touch-up). My stlyist told the assistant to use Affirm on me next time because it's not as "strong". I tell ya it's almost enough to make girl cut it all off. Anyway, that's my experience. The stylist told to me to wait a month. Do you guys thinks that's enough time?

Honey01, your experience sounds much like mine. I had to rinse before she was even done and when i say the Mizani burned i mean it burned bad

My scalp still suffers from it, because the ghair that grows in that area is more fragil than everywhere else. I though i was the only alien that hated Mizani! BTw what is your hair texture, i'm mostly 4a with fine strands.

what i'm gathering from this thread is that Mizani is for those who have more resistant and thick hair, and affirm is or fine hair types.

Hey Beana,

I believe my hair is may also be 4a or 4b. I'm not too sure. I can tell you it is fine, and does not take much manipulation to relax the curl. My curl pattern is however has more kink than wave if that sounds right.
