Affirm No Lye Mild - Steps

Are there multiple steps for Affirm No Lye Mild? My stylist have used this relaxer on me, and the only thing they have done is base my head, relax my hair, neutralize w/ neutralizing shampoo, and deep condition.

Are there more steps than this? Is my hair missing out on something?

They missed out step number 3 which is the 5 in 1 or positive link reconstructor (depends on hairs thickness). I think this is the most important step. The first salon I went to for 5 years ALWAYS missed this out, it didnt do me any harm but then it didnt do me any good

ETA: These reconstructors come before the neutraliser BTW

Oooh, I wonder how much of a difference this would make in my hair. Maybe I should order some and bring it to the salon.

Which step 3 should be used for the no lye system? Either or?

Maybe I should call and find out.

If you have medium to coarse hair e.g. the thicker strands, you use the positive link and if you have fine hair you use the 5 in 1.

I mix the 5 in 1 and positive link (50/50) for step 3. IMO, it makes a huge positive difference to my 4b hair . . .
