absorbing vitamins.

Is there such a thing as our body not absorbing the vitamins we take for our hair?
How do we know if we are or not?
Are there ways we can help our bodies absorb them?

I usually take a Hair, Skin & Nails vitamin and a multivitamin but is it really helping my hair?

you will know when you see the changes in your health ,hair , skin and nails

most of the time they do unless you have some specific issue with absorption or absorption/excretion of a particular vitamin/mineral, that can only be shown by 'tissue/celluar' level testing because you cant even know whats absorbing or how fast its excreting by serum levels alone

if you dont have leaky gut or some other major issue then it should be fine

If your body is already rich in a particular vitamin or mineral it will get rid of the excess through waste products.
I'm not sure about vitamin combo's but I know that different vits at different times of the day produce different results. Generally I take my multi & biotin (if i'm on it) with my first meal of the day; I take my B-complex at night to assist with my morning wake up!

Vitamin C is known for helping in the absorption of certain vitamins MSM among others. When in doubt take a vitamin C...you can't O.D. on it because if you end up with too much in your system you will just urinate it out.

I take an extra 1000mgs of it along with my other vitamins every day *just because*. :yep:

Vitamin C and MSM will help your other vitamins to absorbe better. Also make sure you drink an adquate amount of water (about 50% of your weight in ounces). You should make sure to take all water soluble vits with at least 8oz of water and take your fat soluble vits with a meal.
