About How Much Have You Spent On Your Hair Since Starting Your Hh Journey?

Chile....I probably spent enough for a small nest egg, lol.

Seriously, I would estimate I have spent $8500 since 2011. This would include the following purchases:

Weave hair (human or kanekelon)
Butters (Shea, Cocoa etc.)
Carrier oils
Essential oils
Clays
Fragrances
Services (Keratin treatment, Hair color, Extensions, etc.)
Ready made products (Recovering product junkie,)

The initial cost may be high, until you find what works for you. Then you can curb your spending habits, unless you are a product junkie; in which, you might need an intervention, lol.

I find myself trying to fight PJism from time to time. I do my best to just purchase backups to what is working for me and only buy something new when I need to replace a staple. Subsequently, I have been able to avoid being frivolous.

I can’t even imagine and, quite frankly, I’m not sure I want to. I bet I’m not the only one that will give this answer. Is that a reality I want to face? I’m sure it’s not in the multi thousands, but it’s probably more than I would want to know or admit.

Guuuuuurrrl.......

I started in 2014, and aside from the original flatiron and blowdryer I bought I’ll park it at

4,000$

Within the month I typically spend 50$, and I’ve usually bought products totaling in 50-60$ in the past. So doing the calculations it’s about 3,000$ over 5 years. Not including flatirons, blow dryers, curlers, rollers, occasional hair rinses I did, henna, indigo, satin scarves, hats, headwraps, headbands, scrunchies, pins, curl formers, flexi’s, etc. So I just rounded up another grand since I’m sure I’ve spent enough throughout the years.

I suppose it’s not bad, but thinking about it, idk.
I’ve been trying to be a lot more minimalistic, but it’s kind of cool to think about. Nice thread.

Since cutting my hair off almost 2 years ago, and regrowing my hair, I'm testing out a lot of new products and techniques....
I'm spending an average of 75 dollars a month... which right now is about 1800.00
Yeesh!

Wait! I forgot salon appointments for specialty cuts and colouring.... add an extra 900.00

Double Yeesh!

I’m keeping up with this thread...reading the posts. I said before I was sure my figure wasn’t in the multi thousands. Now I’m pretty sure that was incorrect. And I didn’t want to know that.
