Hi ladies, gotta silly question for ya. Are there different forms of Glycerin? Reason I am asking is because I just went to Rite Aid and got some glycerin but on the back of it, it doesn't state that it is vegatable glycerin, it just says "Active Ingredient: Glycerin 99.5% Anhydrous" and its purpose is a skin protectant. Is this the correct kind?? Thanks in advance:)

the one at rite aid is not pure/100% glycerin. i buy my vegetable glycerin from websites and im sure you can find it at health food stores

Hey, if your near to any of the Whole Foods Markets in Manhattan, they have vegetable glycerin, in the oil's section.

Is glycerin found with the hair products or with the alcohol, wound care, etc. products?

I bought my glycerin at CVS it was in the skincare section with the soap and face washes and it was also in the first aid section
I want to purchase vegetable glycerin the next time I go to the health store I am not sure what the difference is between the veg and the reg glycerin

i bought the 99.5 % anhydrous. i didnt know there were different kinds:(

ETA: anhydrous means no water, so the bottle must be .5% water and 99.5% glycerine.
