A soft answer turns away wrath

Proverbs 15:1 (KJV)
A soft answer turneth away wrath: but grievous words stir up anger.
Does this scripture convict you? It does me (in real life and on the forum) when I am tempted to tell someone about themselves. But the Bible cautions us in many places to not just say whatever we feel like, because we will be accountable.

Matthew 12:36,37
36But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment. 37For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.
Colossians 4:6
Let your speech be always with grace, seasoned with salt, that ye may know how ye ought to answer every man.
Just thought I'd post this.

And, I'm so glad that you did post this. People are saying a whole bunch of things that they will be held accountable for on this forum...even if they don't believe that they will and even if they don't believe in the words of the Bible....doesn't matter. :nono:

I am still learning after 20 years to watch what I say. Is it easy? No. But, at least I'm aware and trying to think before I speak, especially about God, His Word and especially His people!

Thanks, Semo for this thread!
